The MVs for the unit songs tend to refer back to the Fever era. In the Fever Diary Film, Jongho's back story is that he loved basketball, but due to an injury had to give it up. Music gives him solace and a new dream.

Thank you for this reaction! Jongho is one of a kind and is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING vocalist (THE GREATEST 4th generation Kpop Idol vocalist, in my honest opinion) and an all-rounder, too!!! The basketball, and familiar related scenes that you're referring to are definitely intentional and are linked to Ateez's lore/storyline. Hongjoong recently mentioned that all of the unit music videos will definitely have parts of their lore sprinkled in the videos and video concepts. Pretty much ALL of Ateez's songs & videos have lore/storyline in them - in one way or another, sometimes within the lyrics only, or sometimes with hints or "Easter eggs" in the music videos that you have to look & listen to very closely and carefully to catch. But Ateez & their production team have a very cool and clever way of writing songs that have double meaning, so that they are very strongly & specifically tied to their complex storyline, BUT can also be completely relatable to everyday life and very emotionally moving on their own, for those who know absolutely nothing about their lore. Ateez’s Be with You has been my number one favorite since I heard it… However…. This from Jongho has taken up number one spot… though does that count since it’s just Jongho? I love his voice more than I can express. I want an album of nothing but Jongho singing ballads. ❤😂

If you haven't yet you should check out the kdrama Immitation. Jongho, Yunho, San, and Seonghwa were in it. Jongho and Yunho played pretty big roles and were SO good. Phenomenal actors. Also i'm obsessed with this song. Thank you for your reaction.
