This is one of the best performances Jool's ever had. Out of tune? Yeah. Rough as hell? Yeah. This thing is just fucking passionate on a different level.

I remember seeing this when it was broadcast on TV. Directly after this the camera panned to a very grumpy looking Robbie Williams who said "can I have my chair back?". It was brilliant.

For those who were in attendance of this show: You witnessed history. ATDI was one of the best bands of the last 20 years (not arguably). One of the most raw, honest, powerful performances ever captured on tape...a real toe tapper! For those of you who criticize the performance for being out of tune...you are ABSOLUTELY correct. That's why you should stick to Nickleback concerts...they're never out of tune. For the few of you who say this isn't "punk rock" you're ABSOLUTELY wrong. This is EXACTLY what punk rock is about: utter disregard for what anyone else thinks. Green Day is a great punk rock band for you folks. They can be found on most punk rock compilation CDs from the '90s.

+Hoppy Daze You're half right, the performance wasn't supposed to sound like this. The guitarist gets his guitar knocked out of tune right at the start, and after replacing it for another guitar halfway through, proceeds to get that one knocked out of tune when he falls over the chair. By that point I think they'd decided to just roll with it, and in doing so accidentally gave one of the most epic performances ever :P

Fuck, this is one of my favourite At the Drive-In videos. It's so fucking dirty and gritty and just ruthless. I mean, this is clearly something that will mostly only appeal to people who are already fans of At the Drive-In in the first place, so it shouldn't be expected to make a good first impression of the band. As for me tho, I love the shit outta this video.

Sooo many sheep do not understand this band/performance. Fact is they were 5 guys making some of the most exciting music since Nirvana came out. They were also heavily on drugs and just out to go nuts. Im not pretentious but THIS IS EMOTION IN ITS PUREST FORM. They could have changed the world at a time when kids were fixated with Linkin Park and Limp Bizkits manufactured crap. Unfortunately they imploded before they had the chance but their legacy will live on forever

How can you be a fan of this band and think this was a terrible performance? Their music is ALREADY angular and dissonant. It's pure attitude, in your face balls to the wall punk/post-hardcore. Whatever the top commentator said was right. This is exciting, and there are plenty of tuned, inoffensive bands that don't have half the balls or the talent these guys do.

What I really mean is a musician that knows when the requirements of the song go beyond those of their own instrument. Anyway, some of the best guitarists are those who play like they're engaged in a bitter and angry feud with their guitar. Unless by 'fuck guitar' you mean 'giving up', then I think a fuck-you attitude can be a great one for a guitarist.
