Can everyone stop complaining that Derek isn’t in the video? Derek left the show three months ago to pursue other opportunities. Zach is a wonderful Dmitry and definitely does justice to the part. If he wasn’t good and if he didn’t have amazing chemistry with other cast members, he probably wouldn’t have booked the part. Stop being rude and let them be.

Nicole Wagner Truly agree with you. He's getting all this unnecessary hate. The fact that they went out of their way to record an Anastasia song that wasn't in the musical is definitely touching, since they know it would make fans happy. Can't fans just be thankful that they recorded this?

I love how Christy's like, guiding him through the song since he's the newbie and she's the old vet lol. So cute.

The diction in this version is fantastic. Crispy, crystal clear consonants and vowels. Voice and overall energies are fantastic too!

Paola Rivera the song was originally made popular by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis when Anastasia animation movie was out back in 1997, in case you forget or don’t know it.. I believe this music is not different from the original version. Hence that explains why it sounds so 90s. Anyway.. I love the original version more even though this Christy-Zach version isn’t that bad..😃🙏

I love the chemistry of when they sing together. Anyone can sing, but to be able to sing in a way that matches another person so entirely is the best gift of all. Thank you for this.

I'm loving this song, and it sounds like the perfect duet for Dimitri and Anastasia; and this is not the end, but the beginning of a life together for them, as her grandmother said, after their wonderful journey and another one starting

This is so good! Derek is SUCH a great Dimitri that I was scared of his replacement but Zach is MARVELOUS and it`s such a different take but I love it. They are both unique and create something interesting! WELL DONE

Listening to Zach and Christy sing "At the Beginning" lifts my spirits always. I first saw Anastasia with my late wife Gloria back in 1997. Little did I know at the time that this song would have the impact that it does for me now.

That's the amazing Haley Bennett. She has worked quite a bit with Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the folks that wrote all the music to Anastasia. She has also worked on quite a few of the other current Broadway shows such as Dear Evan Hansen and Once On This Island.

Yes - I just saw her conducting at “Come From Away”!! She was playing the keyboard and conducting ,, but then she danced around onstage with the cast, playing an accordion! She’s awesomely talented!! 👏❤️
