2024 Impreza RS
The RS marks the return of the model’s premier enthusiast-focused trim level. The 2.5 RS debuted in 1998 and was the precursor to the WRX in the U.S. Market. The new RS trim level comes standard with a powerful 2.5-liter BOXER engine paired with a Lineartronic CVT featuring an 8-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters.
The RS trim offers unique exterior trim elements including RS badging on the front doors and rear hatch; 18-inch alloy wheels in dark gray finish; black finish on the front grille, side spoilers, side mirrors, upgraded LED headlights, and LED fog lights.
The cabin of the RS is further distinguished by gunmetal and simulated carbon fiber interior trim accents as well as sport front seats in black cloth with red cloth bolsters, and carpeted floormats feature the RS logo. The RS also includes upgraded leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, aluminum alloy pedals, heated front seats, and rear USB charge ports.
The top-of-the-line trim builds on the Sport and adds standard features including Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Available exclusively on the RS is a Harman Kardon® 10-speaker system, Power Moonroof, and 10-way power front driver seat with lumbar support.

Dude, the steering responsive headlights are awesome. They're so good that when you don't have them anymore, you really miss them. They just work so well they kinda fall out of mind.

HOw do you turn on the illumination on the steering wheel on the 2022?
My Crosstrek lights appear to have little dots on the top of the light stream is that normal?
other drivers keep high beam flashing me in this car cause the normal headlights are so bright lol. After finishing the video OMG it happened to you too

Sounds like the headlights need to be adjusted like this vehicle did. Low beams should not be shining in the eyes of other drivers.

The hatch lights are lacking. There is an optional interior LED light kit. Hopefully it includes the hatch light. There's an optional auto dimming rear view mirror with compass and homelink and outside mirrors with those lights that cover the ground outside. I heard that even if you can turn off the auto start/stop on the center display, you have to keep doing it everytime you start the engine. Just like the Honda Civic. But Sport, or S mode does not disable it. You can also disable the adaptive mode on the headlights on the center dysplay, but not sure if that also defaults to on when you shut off the engine.
3 main gripes I have about this car: wish they gave this the brz engine/auto trans, or at least give that RS trim a turbo. The infotainment is a bothersome, slow tablet following a trend I wish didn't exist. Lastly, I would've liked leather seating option as it's easier to keep clean and smell-free. I still like this car because I have fond memories with my current 2013 Sport Limited impreza, and the current gen body looks good, but I'm heavily considering a Civic ST hatchback instead. Better infotainment, leather seating, pulls better off the line, better mpg, all for a trade-off of awd, which isn't really needed unless I live in the northern side of the midwest or go offroading more than campgrounds.

I like how the civic sedan looks but the rear end of the hatchback is so ugly to me. Looks like the head of a bloated caterpillar.
