I've been taking my Braun uplander periodically to mobility express for various problem. Every time I go I ask them why the ramp hits the forward door latch. They tell my it's due to wear and can't be adjusted. They also changed a jumper to slow the door when it closes and never put it back. Last year I drove my friend to a tattoo artist for work. When we left hee notice the ramp hitting the latch and had me lower it. He came back from his store and adjusted it with a hex wrench!! Why is it a stoned Tattoo artist can fix your vans when a train tech says it can't be fixed and still charges $95 to diagnose it?????

What would cause the van to drop very low to the ground on the ramp side?

That sounds like your kneel system. The kneel system lowers or "kneels" your van on the ramp side, so you will have less of a ramp angle. This happens automatically when pressing one of the deploy buttons. Though rare, it is possible for this to get stuck in the down position. If this does occur, please call your nearest Braun Dealer for an diagnosis. In the mean time, check out this video for how to override the kneel system kzread.info/dash/bejne/nHV1tNKBn8bIoLw.html
