We just got a Chrysler T&C Limited 2 weeks ago with the VMI Northstar ramp. The vehicle is wonderful and the ramp / conversion is absolutely amazing. It has made life so much easier for us and our 12-year-old son who is wheelchair bound.

Getting ready to buy a mobility van. This video has made it clearer that VMI is a very good choice for me. I really appreciated how many questions the video answered for me as well as highlighting the questions I need answered. Thank you!

I work for Accessible mobility in Greenville SC and out of all the Vans I work on VMI are the easiest and cheapest to repair. And I don't repair them often either.

would you know the location of the pump and tank for a VMI Dodge van

Thank you so much for posting this video. I have wondered about how these vans are modified. VMI makes a great product. I have ridden in some converted vans that just make you shudder at the thought of how it was made, seeing road through the cracks, the gas tank being placed in a very scary position. I may even get a VMI Van someday.

All great until you gotta access the fuel pump and fuel filter but cant cause the entire bottom of the vehicle is encased in steel.

I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey, I have had problem after problem with the VMI ramp and the whole operating system, my dealer is no help in fixing these issues. Would love for someone to contact me.

check braunability before buying. VMI service centers are not readily available.

We recently purchased a 2011 Honda Odyssey VMI wheelchair conversion van with the ramp in the 10" dropped floor - The Van DID NOT come with the SIDE STEP ROCKER PANELS - It is challenging for a non wheelchair user to pull yourself up into the passenger front seat when you are only 4' 10" and are nearing your 80's like us and most of our friends ----- We want to purchase a set of these SIDE STEP ROCKER PANELS and have them installed on our Van - Our Local (65 miles away) VMI REPAIR SHOP is NOT HIGH on our recommendation list for mechanical/electrical repairs - We have been there way too many times in the past with our previous Van - Can Vantage Mobility sell us a set of these SIDE STEP ROCKER PANELS directly ?

I was stuck in my 2014 Toyota Sienns can and did not know how to get out in my wheelchair. Although the side door opened it closed quickly and the ramp would not come out. What went wrong?

iv gotten in touch with supperiorvanand design about geting a lift to go on the back of a pontiac aztech to left my electric chair up and into the back of the car but they say my wheelchair is too heavy but iv been told by others they lied the lifts can hold 1 ton so im so lost idk what to do now all i wanted was a price i cant aford a handicap van my mom takes me every were but she has to push me around in a manule chair

RECIEVED MY VAN IN POOR CONDITION, OVERSPRAY INSIDE AND OUTSIDE VEHICLE, REAR AXLE WAS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED OR ALLIGINED, VERY DIRTY THROUGHOUT THE INSIDE. THIS WAS MY 4TH OR 5TH VAN BUT MAYBE MY LAST, DONT BELIEVE THE VIDEO, IT'S A JOKE!!! HAVE PICTURES CONTARY TO VIDEO, VMI REPRESENTATIVES DID NOT INSTILL CONFIDENCE IN THERE PRODUCT, "IT GOT BY US WE ARE SORRY" JUST WONDERING NOW WHAT ELSE MAY HAVE GOT BY THEM!!!

poor service i have found out. avoid vmi

I have owned a VMI Northstar since 2017. By far the worse quality vehicle produced in any new vehicle that I have seen. Be vey careful about VMI products. For example, the kneel chain broke in September, 2020, May of 2021 and yesterday. (While it was at the Mobilty dealer getting the door and ramp fixed.) Direct quote from VMI - “you can’t expect quality like a Ford, because we need to keep the cost at $70,000.” Be more than happy to discuss the journey to help others.

They are horrible. Completely junk. Nice vehicle until they get ahold of it

Far from a quality masterpiece. Definitely not world class. Cutting the floor out completely, destroying the integrity and safety of the vehicle then adding plastic junk to hide everything giving the appearance that it’s not a turd. Nothing state of art. That went out the window the second they started cutting it up. There a joke for the money and should be ashamed of taking advantage of the disabled. What happened to the nice full size vans good company’s use to build. They had quality and class

agree. poor response to service almost nonexistent

top heavy, sway danger, no service. drive before purchasing. check on service centers; ie nonexistent. Toyota is dumbing down being associated with this company
