All great until you gotta access the fuel pump and fuel filter but cant cause the entire bottom of the vehicle is encased in steel.

The ramp key fob is the worst. I wish it was just one click instead of holding it down. It causes battery drain. My ramp decided not to respond today to the incab button or either fobs... couldnt get it in manually either.

We had a 2013 VMI Honda that we loved, but I would suggest you find a different company than VMI to purchase a handicap equipped van from. We had a very poor experience with our $89,700 2021 Toyota hybrid van conversion. While on vacation in 2,300 moles from home in Ocean City, MD we hit a rainstorm. The water shorted out the hybrid system and washed over our feet and into the passenger compartment. Luckily our handicapped daughter was not with us. The Toyota dealer in DE made us pay over $7,000 for the parts to repair the van and since there were no long-term rental cars available, we also had to buy a car to continue our trip. When we arrived home, we were assured that VMI would make everything right. VMI trucked the van to their factory in AZ and found that the firewall in the Toyota had never been sealed. They promised to reimburse us full value for what we paid for the Toyota AND give us a new 2023 Honda (window sticker $71,689) and the difference between the 2 in cash. Instead, we got a check for a difference of $7,038. We asked where they arrived at this figure and never got an answer from 2 different supervisors. Several of our personal possessions were never returned and it took them over 4 months to reimburse us for the parts. Our wonderful dealer helped us to sell that car we had to buy BUT VMI did nothing to alleviate the extra money we expended because of their faulty van. Just as an aside, when we went to pick up our new van, we first drove 200 miles to get it and the ramp didn’t work. 200 miles home. A little later we drove 120 miles to get the van nad the first weekend with our daughter the ramp didn’t work. Thank goodness our dealer helped me find the faulty fuse and we haven’t had a problem since. I sincerely think VMI didn’t give a darn about us or our problems. I’m a retired School teacher and they are a multimillion-dollar corporation and we were treated like dirt.

Drives like a tin can and gives passengers little to no climate control in the back. In the summer, you bake. In the winter, you freeze. The sliding door will often not close.

Richard, we're proud to offer the only AWD-capable wheelchair van w/ the Sienna. Thanks to Toyota's hybrid technology and rear electric motor, this enabled us to bring the first AWD wheelchair van to market. Here's the link to learn more about it on our website: shop.vantagemobility.com/vmitoyotahybrid.html Let us know if you'd like more support and we'll be excited to help.

The 2022 Toyota Sienna presents a challenge with this. They made this intrusive counsol with the shifter that extends to the middle. I like the old 2015-2020 shifter/counsol setup better.

Living a life of seclusion isn't living. It's existing and nobody wants to live in isolation. If all you need is a handicap wheelchair van to open the door to the world and give you your freedom. Please let us have that. Just going to the store is impossible when you are wheelchair bound. I can ride the bus but takes me 3 1/2 hours round trip. I'd have to go back every day for a week to get everything that I need. It's an all day journey to go to the doctor for an appointment using public transportation.

Far from a quality masterpiece. Definitely not world class. Cutting the floor out completely, destroying the integrity and safety of the vehicle then adding plastic junk to hide everything giving the appearance that it’s not a turd. Nothing state of art. That went out the window the second they started cutting it up. There a joke for the money and should be ashamed of taking advantage of the disabled. What happened to the nice full size vans good company’s use to build. They had quality and class

I have owned a VMI Northstar since 2017. By far the worse quality vehicle produced in any new vehicle that I have seen. Be vey careful about VMI products. For example, the kneel chain broke in September, 2020, May of 2021 and yesterday. (While it was at the Mobilty dealer getting the door and ramp fixed.) Direct quote from VMI - “you can’t expect quality like a Ford, because we need to keep the cost at $70,000.” Be more than happy to discuss the journey to help others.

That's cool.... But i dunno how everyone is going to take a vehicle telling it to move over and they are blocking a van belonging to a person in a wheelchair. Besides, that is the least of a person's worries if they want a new van. The price will be. $40,000 and up is how much some of the newer vans cost in my area. And so far i haven't ran into any gov agency's that would help pay for a van that cost that much. Some won't even pay more then $1,000 for helping you install your adaptive equipment. If you would like to sell alot of vans. Lower your prices. After all the average handicapped user doesn't make that kind of money. By the time some of us can afford to buy whats out there. its ready to quit on you or needs serious repair or the part you need is no longer available . One dealer told me that they sold one old van 5 times. Where they couldn't even find a buyer for the newer vans because the prices where to high. The Pacifica cost From $35,820 - $45,795 with no handicapped equipment.
