I always love listening to Queen songs that feature John's bass, he's truly a musical genius.
I'm an electronic engineer and my respect for the engineer Deacon is absolute. I ever appreciated his lines of bass and his significative contribute to Queen legacy and to the music in general.
John Deacon is one of the most legendary and talented people in music. I don’t understand why people mistreat him for not being in the limelight, he is a pure genius and a truly lovely gentleman. ❤

John is fabulous, was , is and always will be.
John Deacon! Incredible, talented, genius! Inventing the Deacy amplifier, and every band just starting out wanted one! Amazing bass player!! Legendary songwriter!! I have such great respect for him, and I know how much he loved Freddie Mercury. He was right when he said, Freddie passed away, Queen is over! Love you, Mr. Deacon!

Love your comment!
He's a great, highly talented bassist, and a very private, family oriented person. He did his job excellently, he was kind of a workhorse. A very nice and kind person. I hope everyone respects his privacy now when he's retired and let him live his life in peace and harmony.

John R. Deacon (Deaky) is always getting my special attention listening to Queen's legendary music. To catch his bass work, purchased my 1st set of headphones. It was necessary, insuring my untrained ears gathered all of his resounding work. Such a pleasure! Thanks for this report about a favorite personality of mine.
Hope John is okay and enjoying his well deserved retirement with his family. Thank you for the music John!
Thankyou John, you gave the world, through Queen some of the best music ever. You deserve your privacy and retirement. Thankyou once again 👍👍❤️👏👏
You're great, unforgetable musician! I love you John! ❤🎉

Mary petite Bruxelloise ❤❤❤ 😉👍👍👍
Best Bass player of all time. Love to him❤
John is a loyal friend and an excellent musician, Freddie Mercury must be very proud of him.
John was an immensely intricate part of QUEEN in so many ways. His innovative sound, his love of music, and his interest in electronics helped push the band to the forefront of the music industry. Thank you for this biography.
John is the best bass player ever and was a wonderful friend with Freddie he done what he wanted to when Freddie passed x❤❤❤

John as pure as the Light! Love him. Devoted Friend and outstanding musician!
John is not 25 years no more he is a old man respect that.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE DEACON Brian AND ROGER PLAY ONE MORE TIME ❤ BUT I RESPECT HIS WISH.WE ALL MISS HIM AND BUT THIS IS THE WAY HE WANTS GOD BLESS JOHN AND HIS FAMILY 🙏 MUCH LOVE FOR YOU JOHN ❤🎸🎤🎼🎵🎶
John was a great bass player, inventor of amp Brian uses,&something stood out about him that Freddie saw&sought out as the bassist for QUEEN that they needed. He was close to Freddie,as had been taken under Freddies protection as he was younger. Freddie's death was devastating to everyone with QUEEN, but he had a harder time, prolonged grief where he was not able to move on with the band, except for a few very special concerts, &had to step away.John had his own demons&coping mechanisms even when Freddie was still alive. We have to respect his grief coping just as we do Brians&Rogers! I'm so grateful he recorded that last time to record that one oh so perfect song reflecting the groups feelings towards Freddie! God Bless John with peace🙏🌹
A great man and musician that John Deacon is, deserves a better overview than this sub par, repetitive waist of 20 minutes.

The best bass player,he is GOAT,God bless you,we miss you so much ❤❤❤
John is a very humble and discreet person, I respect him for that.
Queen the band passed away the day Freddie died. The chemistry between John and Freddie could never be replicated. Thank god that John has constantly since looked after the legacy these pair of giants in the music industry created together.
Deacon was not a member of Smile: Taylor, May, and Staffell. After Staffell left and Mercury joined them they needed a bass player. After going through two other bass guitarists, they signed on Deacon, age 19 at the time.

Whenever I listen to Queen's music, I remember John's significant but silent contributions.
John D is a legend and an awesome bass player ! Enjoy your retirement, you earned it xx
He created beautiful and intricate basslines, truly a musical genius.
John is fantastic. He is well missed. It is a pity that he decided to retire.❤❤❤❤❤❤
John made every Queen song special with his unique basslines.
John brought perfection to Queen's music, he deserves all the recognition.
John is a legend! One of the top 10 bass players of all time!
John played a huge role in Queen's success, he's an irreplaceable part of the band.
Very fine bassplayer and an important man behind the scenes...
Thank you for your music and love of Freddie.
At last, the video that shows how great John Deacon really is, every time someone does a reaction video to a Queen song, very rarely do they mention John Deacon, bassists never get the glory which could be the reason why John Deacon chose the base to stay out of the limelight, he knew the band would be nothing without Freddie Mercury and I agree with him soon as Freddie Mercury died just like Richard Wright that would mark the end of the band, when they passed away, two of the greatest bands in the world ceased to exist. I know that Brian May and Roger Taylor tried to carry on with the band but whoever they put in as frontman, was always going to be a failure no matter how good they were in their own right. John Deacon had massive insight and instantly knew when something was not right.
Great material about a great musician. However, I still don't know, after 21 minutes, what John Deacon confirmed at 72.
I love John Deacon,♥️he wrote beautiful songs,is a great bassplayer and was always very funny on stage............and freddie is the greatest singer ever lived.♥️♥️now and forevermore.
Love you Deacy. Always remember Freddy loved you sooooo much. Aswell Brian and Roger ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for sharing we love you John we'll never forget you ❤❤❤
One of my favorite songs from Queen is YOUR NY BEST FRIEND. Finding out John wrote it made me love it more. Be well Deacon ❤
He worked hard and dedicated himself to music, he deserves to rest and enjoy life.
Dearest greatest John Deacon! May God bless you! Blessings to Roger Taylor, Brian May! No one can replace the youth and powerful greatest early band - Queen... Freddie is irreplaceable, adorable, unique, magnificent - the Greatest Sad Clown of Almighty! The diamond in the Lord's Crown. Genius with the purest soul and the highest spirit like yours! We'll never forget him! We love you - sweet, handsome, generous, courage and noble human ... Freddie is our sweet, handsome, generous, courage and noble human ... golden daffodil... You are, dearest John, unique, devoted genius! We call you four - "four the Evangelists" the brilliant, genius Farrokh, the marvelous Brian, John pure as light and incredible Roger - when the Day has come I strongly believe all of you will be allowed by Almighty to sing forever for Him at his Throne!
He invented the Deacy amp, a remarkable invention for the music industry.

I've seen that interview with Rick Beato and Brian May that mentions the Deaky. Great interview if you've not seen it already.
The assignment was for a 5-page report but you only had two pages of content. I love John, though, so I watched through to the end.

Wish to meet him, shake his hand just saying “Thank you for your being, Sir”
When John was 7, the Beatles hadn’t even formed so he couldn’t have been inspired by them at that age.

Legend
Great guy
John Deacon is also a talented songwriter in his own right.
Didn't know he switched from guitar to bass, just as Geezer Butler.
John Deacon was perfect for Queen music using high keys in a melodic way (different that time), composing nice songs and dealing the business money. I miss Queen!
a true man!❤
What about all the incredible playing John did on all the albums before Night at the Opera?
2:56 Just a little correction: Brian and Roger weren't seeking a bassist for Smile. They were already Queen in 1971..
John Deacon is brilliant. Made a ton of money doing what he loves and appears to be enjoying retirement and his family. All the best to him.
An absolute ROCK GOD with a complexed personality that ooozed intelligence, innovation & perseverance for for talent, improvement & success for Queen. He’s ever bit as incredibly amazing as Freddie, Brian & Roger who are absolutely phenomenal in every way. Freddie once said that every member of Queen was 25% of Queen’s complexity. John’s 25% was HUGE. 🖤🎶🖤
This was just beautiful the way he felt about Freddie was just heart warming and I also feel when Freddie died so did Queen I would have rather Brian and Roger went on together without a front man, you can't replace Freddie everytime I see them I get a sick feeling knowing Freddie is not going to pop up. I love Adam on his own not trying to replace Freddie never ever going to happen. Brian Roger and Deaky are all a big part of queen they needed Freddie and Freddie needed them they were a fit. So I understand how John felt and the love he had for freddie.sometime the show can't go on all members of queen will always be remembered for there unique style and sound there music will go on forever but it will always be Freddie's voice you hear. ❤God bless you john and God bless queen.
What is it, that he, "FINALLY", confirmed at age 72? That seems to have been left out of the video. 🙂

Probs that he is 72! 🤷
They were already Queen when John joined on 3/1/1971.
Hang on there a minute. He was born in 1951 , picked up a guitar aged 7 inspired by the Beatles and Stones. What in 1958? Please please me didn't come out till 1963.
John had an older brother, but passed away at the age of six; when John was 2. His younger sister Julie was born a few years later. His parents only had the 3 children. Not 4.
A minor point, but if he was born in 1951 and started playing guitar at age 7, then it had nothing to do with the sound of The Beatles or Stones....

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dragon Attack brilliant Bass lines
🎶👍🎶👍
Wonderful documentary apart from most facts being repeated two or three times and the video interspersed with clips from Biggles yet no link mentioned in the bio. For those who don’t know John wrote the music score for the film under the name Stanislav
same as the man said queen not the same without freddie just didnt want to carry on 👍
Who was that at 1.21?
I dont think John was one of four kids...he only had a sister
This is inaccurate crap, I see John regularly around where he lives, he is certainly reserved and called it a day when Mercury died, he did the right thing
Leave him alone.
John was born 1951. Video says that at 7 years old, he first picked up a guitar being inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Funny, both those bands did not exist in 1958!
Leave him alone ❤❤❤❤
Don't think John was interested in cars,he drove Volvo s for years and now favours Toyotas,he did have a 911 once but sold it after he was caught drink driving and fined.A true legend that was rhe glue that held Queen together
Arch isn't a patch on jack bruce
john get a grip life is sort we all lose love 1s 4godsake 9 people family members 8yrs thats included mum sister mother-in-law father-in-law and other members snap out of wots on ur mind and love ur family live ur life
What's with the video title?
He got bored of it big deal. He's rich , he can do what he wants
Deacons father John Snr , was a deacon (believe it or not ) and his office was right next to the john -where john Jnr was born in John, Deacons Snrs john ! the deacons John ( "johns ,john" ) to the deacon , as he was known
I think Freddie Mercury Passed Away he was never the Same he Shut down physical And Don't want to sound bad and mentally
7 years old, no way inspired by the Beatles in 1958.
That's why I hated the biopic. John was seen as almost a nobody in that movie with Freddie taking no interest in him. Meanwhile Freddie loved collaborating with John and encouraged him to contribute more songs because he recognised his hidden talent.
Does everyone have to put a good man down !?

A legend in his own right ! 👍
JD is worth many £££. He chose to retire. Let him be.
What did John finally confirm and what did I think all along? Where did I miss it?
True story, saw Queen on The Magic Tour and afterwards a cousin of mine was still certain there was only three in the band.
What a boring monotone summary of such a brilliant musician!!
I'm shocked when I saw the photo of him ,,are you sure it's him? Doesn't look like him at all , looks like a gent, mid 80 not 72. What on earth has he done to himself, should go on some kind of government health advisory body, to show the dangers and outcomes of smoking,,,, always thought that he was a very good musician, what a shame ,,,I feel so very sad,,,, the state of him now, looks like his health is in jeopardy.
I love JD - Oadby just down the road from me, not a working class area . Nothing new here; no, finally, at all. Monotonous, repetitive rehash of much that has been seen and published. 20 minutes waiting, bored, for a finally that, inevitably, never came.
How to make 5 minutes of facts into 20 minutes of continual repetition.
I tried watching because I adore John but the horrible repetitive "background" track sucks. WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT!!!???
Why do you repeat over and over the same details about this great musician's life? Queen's fans have a decent average IQ.
Why carry on with all the hassle of recording and touring when you can just sit back and count the royalty cheques? Just the money from crap TV adverts alone must be enough to keep him more than comfortable. FLASH! AH AH! The only thing I would criticise Deacon about is his godawful 1980's hair style, when he actually had hair of course. 😂
Bowsham.......
This really drags on. Way too much repetition
Queen?? C'mon.
Nothing new. This information has been known for decades. The robotic presenter cannot pronounce words correctly. Video clips and photos have been inserted that have nothing to do with the subject matter. This is a terrible tribute to a great man and musician l
What a load of bollocks
Genius???? Are you crazy??? Only good bass player.
