I am ready for a 8k 60 card 4090 is boring just because it stops me from buying a 8k display when I want to play games at 8k the performance is not there yet from a single gpu solution

Hi mate 4090 was an insane increase over 3090ti. 4k 144hz has only been made possible recently so I don't envisage 8k 60 will be to far away. That being said the % of people wanting to do that will be tiny! But each to their own I guess and if u can afford it why not. Regards

worth upgrading z690 to z790 board ? any benefit and should I go from 12900k to 13900ks or wait for the 14900k at this point in Sept

Personally I would wait as 14900k is just a refresh and will still fit in z690 if u wanted it too. 13900k will reduce in cost also so could be a fair amount of cash to save too. Cheers man

I know mate nearly broke me paying over 2k that's why I waited so long to figure out the 16 pin issue and make sure I deffo wanted and needed it.

Seeing other computer tech builders talking about Asus products being low quality and some burning up I was curious what you are finding? Add to that Asus releasing a program update that does nothing but voiding any warranty. I'd be a bit leery now about using Asus products.

Yeah I saw jays2cents video. I always had asus and never had any issues tbh mate. I guess it's different when u have to pay for everything and not get it free. I like this though as I can give my honest opinion

Mee too it's because they have made poor connections - all that power that would normally go though 3 cables is now through one. Appreciate you watching thanks

I had mine in a black case mate originally and I have also had white cases with black cards and I didn't care. I then built my whole build around the GPU as its the most expensive piece. Totally up to you mate - you could get some nice black and white cable extensions that would help too

My 3090ti had a slight whine but the 4090 don't miss a beat which is great 😀

I am not fan of 4 slot GPU monster, i will wait for 6000 series card that run as fast as the 4090 but its on 2 slot, half the power and half the size and weight. (probably have to wait till smth like RTX 6070)

Well maybe longer mate tbh as 3060 ain't as good as a 1080ti on raw performance BUT you get lower temps and power draw and all tge newer features like dlss and rtx etc

@@TechCheckUK Sorry for the mistake i was referring to x70 class. The X70 class can still be fit into a 2 slot card. Hence i will need to compare RTX 3070 with 1080 ti (not 3060). The former is indeed faster. So i assume the RTX 6070 will be faster than 4090 as well, going forward, while it maintain its 2 slots form factor.

Pcb only covers 60% of card but yes more power = more heat and therefore larger cooler needed

I normally say the same but 30-40% better in every game I have played and even better encoder and Premier pro performance so money well spent for me - DONT get me wrong I would prefer 1000 or less but never gunna happen these days! Appreciate u watching and thanks for sharing ya thoughts
