    4:14 CORRECTION: The BOTTOM PCI-E expansion slot has a x16 connector but runs at x4, (for a maximum bandwidth of 8 GB/s using all 4 lanes). It does NOT run at x16. FURTHERMORE, when the third M.2 slot is used, the bottom PCI-E connector is DISABLED. Please read the manual before releasing a video with bad information!!

You don't have to get the theraml paste but the apply method is proven effective with the following advangates 1) dont have to worry if your thermal paste will cover or not cover the necessary areas (is it too much to too little) 2) evenly spread, 3) no wastage on thermal paste and 4) will not be in a mess when you want to do repaste. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qo5mtJarn6mXj7Q.html

    Hi Jakos Wild Rift, welcome to my channel. if you are using the Uni Fan controller (SL,AL or SL infinity) you need not have to worry as the drawing power of those fans are from the uni fan controller and not from your motherboard. even if you did plug the PWM cable between the Uni Fan controller to your motherboard, it's ok. as mentioned the fan power drawn is from the uni fan controller, just make sure that the power source (Sata) is plug to the uni fan controller.

  • @KleoYan

    @KleoYan

    10 ай бұрын

    Hi Steve Johnson, welcome to my channel. I was trying to explain that each of these fan headers have a max capacity of 1ampere. And fans out there you are able to daisy chain them together which gives you only one connection point. you can do that but make sure to find our what's the total 3 fan ampere is before you plug. Example fan 1 to fan 3 are each rated at 0.30a. if you total them up, it will be at 0.90a which is not an issue to plug to any of these motherboard fan header (Each) If 3 fans daisy chained and total up above 1ampere, lets say each fan is at 0.4a, total will be 1.2a, then you should not be pluging to any of these motherboard fan header (Each)

    @@KleoYan Hi KleoYan, thank you for your video. I recently bought this motherboard and I am planning on building my pc soon. Your comment abbout the Amps spooked me as I am really not experienced in computer parts and I didn't expect the amps to become a problem. After some digging around on the internet and researching the case I bought, it turns out a power repeater can be used for the fans. This way you can attach many fans to one fan header as the power is pulled directly from the PSU. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this would be the solution for this motherboard. I don't know if many cases come with a repeater, mine did in any case.

  • @KleoYan

    @KleoYan

    6 ай бұрын

    @@daniel_wiersma Hi welcome to my channel. Yes you can use that and it's perfectly safe. Not all chassis comes with the Fan and argb hub which is powered by the PSU sata. That's the reason for some experience builders, they will purchase a fan and argb hub which draws power directly from the PSU instead from the motherboard and yes as you've mentioned, this will resolve the ampere issue. Thank you for your feedback and all the best with your build.

    Hey Kleo! I decided to jump the gun on this motherboard based on your review... and I'm now having second thoughts about it. Has it given you any troubles since your initial thoughts? I had a sour experience with this board given that the LAN drivers aren't recognized immediately when Windows is installed and because my USB3.0 header ripped and broke a pin after just one plug in, rendering 2 of my front USB-A ports useless. A USB port at the back also acts funny with an external DAC, if it's not turned on when booting it won't recognize it and it'll render the port useless until I reboot. Turning it on during normal use won't work, and if it's turned on when I boot my PC and then turn it off and try to turn it back on it won't work, it's just with that singular USB port though (top left from the blue USBs on the rear IO), the others work fine and this doesn't happen with anything else. The IO shield is also a tad loose on the top right corner for some reason. Curve Optimizer with -25 on all cores for a 7800x3D and 6000 MT/s G.Skill Trident Neo RAM with EXPO enabled work flawlessly though, I'd just like to know if it's a good board in the long run or if I'm better moving my system to an X670E Tomahawk instead. Running the latest drivers and BIOS too, pretty easy to set up to be quite honest. Keep up the great work! Also loved your LF III review and it's my cooler of choice with this CPU, really helped me make my purchase for both of these items. :)

    Hi Ohmnity, welcome to my channel. For me I didn’t run into any of your issue with this board but I do have to agree on the LAN part. I too have to do a local login in windows and to use a license key to activate windows. If given the choice of this and the MSI x670e tomahawk. I would take the tomahawk as it does have all the bells and whistles, plus during installation, the Lan/RJ45 is detected.

I can not find any info if i buy a m.2 gen 4 samsung 980pro with the heat shield if it will fit in this mobo or since this has those metal shields is having a heat shield on the m.2 itself even needed? ...I thank you so much in advance

    @@WorkBott I like to confirm is your 4080 working. If you have tested on another system and it works. plug your 4080 to this board but for video out, plug the HDMI cable to your motherboard and not your GPU, go to bios / UFEI, check the 4080 GPU PCI-E Lane if it's at auto, set to Gen 4, save your settings reboot, double check in UEFI to see the PCI-E lane of your 4080 GPU is set to Gen 4. if it is. force shut down your PC, remove the HDMI cable which is plug to your motherboard and plug either HDMI or DP cable to your 4080 GPU and try again.

    @@jackdawson4807 hmm 🤔 1st remove the Samsung m.2 from the slot, place the WD m.2 to the slot, see if it detects? If it does, the motherboard slot is not faulty. 2nd if this slot is not faulty, use an eraser, rub and clean the Samsung m.2 contact point. Then try again. If it still does not work then most likely is the m.2 issue and not the slot.

    motherboard manufacturers are removing real POST CODE LEDs from low end boards, which is a shame, and replacing them with LEDs. the problem isnt positioning of the replacement indicator LEDs, its that there isnt a POST CODE 7 segment LED. The other problem with M.2s and connectivity in general, there is no longer a high end desktop segment, at least one that is affordable, that offers enough PCIe lanes to allow for things like M.2 slots, and full bandwidth PCIe slots, and more of them. Who wants to run their GPU that maybe they spent $1000 on, at X8? Also, ill bet the real market for people plugging in PCIe 5.0 M.2 into the second PCIe x16 (real x8) is very very small.

    Hi scbadq, welcome to my channel. I do share the same sentiment as in having to remove the debug LED digital screen on mid tier boards, for lowend I can understand. Now as for the PCI-E 5.0 slot with the Gen 5 m.2. I guess in every evolution stage, it will be there till a much mature board in future will be able to cater for full x 16 on both slots, the keypoint is time.
