It's weird seeing Richards talk like that about Garde. He should look at his performances that season. He too was shambolic. Villa were bad but richards was among the worst there

Richards was an absolute disgrace that season along with Lescott. One of the senior players in the squad and just treated it like he was on the beach the whole season.

He’s always failed to take accountability for his role in dragging us down. Anytime he mentions his time at Villa I lose all respect for him. He always talks about bursting on to the scene, well we were struggling and needed some of that and he hardly broke out into a sweat. He’s an absolute disgrace

Richards was one of the worst players in the league that year. Basically downed tools after a couple of games for the club he supposedly loved. Seems like a nice enough guy but his performances for Villa were Sunday League quality at best.
