Aston Martin Vantage full in-depth review and specs, on track and road | Autocar

With 656bhp rather than the 503bhp of its predecessor, the latest Aston Martin Vantage has moved on to a new performance plane.
It was a serious sports car before but the comprehensive overhaul has, as with the DB12 we were so impressed by recently, significantly shifted its capabilities. Its price too: this is a £165,000 before options.
Along with 656bhp at 6000rpm it makes 590lb ft at 2000-5000rpm. It drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and weighs (dry) 1605kg.
Performance is strong, with a 0-62mph time of 3.4sec and a top speed of 202mph. It'll return 23.3mpg and emits 274g/km of CO2.

You really have to admire the dedication of Autocar to have the lowest audio quality on KZread, their consistency is truly inspiring.

Only as your reviews are great, I didn’t switch off….. what on earth is going on with the audio? The mic is almost on you neck, hold a microphone if you have to….. great car though 👍

Prior is one of my favourite reviewers, and I know this content is free, but it is a little hard to comprehend how the channel keeps uploading content with such terrible audio quality. Who thinks this is OK?!
Very sad, Autocar has such good journalists working to high standards but I can barely understand what is being said. Such a waste of talent. Might I suggest that you set higher standards for production. As my old teacher would have said "this is not good enough".
After 2 minutes looking for another review, I agree with other comments sound quality abysmal.
Like others are commenting the audio being so muffled through the entire video makes this near unwatchable. Was looking forward to this as Matt does a great tech review on new models.
Did you record the audio on a Maris Piper or a King Edward?

No, it sounds muffled and distorted to me too in places :( Strange companding sort of sound during most of the video

It was great review, as always - but the last couple of videos had audio issues.

I really like their videos but man they really have to step up their audio.
I love Mat's erudite reviews, I have a V8 and V12 Vantage, yet the sound quality is so poor, I can't tollerate listening past half way... Shocking...

Have had to give up with this review due to the appalling sound quality. Fortunately I have the Autocar magazine subscription I can read. I find it rather strange considering nearly every comment has complained about the sound that there has been no response from Autocar. Hopefully Harry will do a review soon.

The audio is unusable. This is not professional filmmaking. If this happens one time and you have to use your backup mic, that's fine. But this has happened multiple times recently on here!

Please get a decent bluetooth mike or stop it hitting your neck - fair too boomy with little top end. Hard to hear what you're saying.

Horrible audio. Just can't finish watching the video.
Yet ANOTHER Autocar motoring review completely ruined by an abysmally poor, muffled & almost indecipherable audio soundtrack that appears to have been recorded with a carbon microphone wrapped in carpet underfelt, dunked into a bowl of custard and then recorded onto the wax rotary drum of an Edison windup gramophone. Really, really bad post-production editing and final compilation values...

The dreadfully inadequate Audio, and the consistently stupefyingly soporific somnambulism over many "Prior" years of the said Reviewer in the video and many preceding it, account for the woeful number of views.....they know he is good at writing and editing, but yet with unerring and willfully ignorant consistency, have him in front of a camera instead of behind a desk....get Andrew Frankel or anyone..else...no shortage of brilliant auto journalists in the UK with knowledge, personality, charisma and eloquent speaking skills, not mumblers....Time for Autocar to make a change....horrible tech as well, audio fixes don't take Einsteinian expertise, but definitely require competent crew, quality control and reliable equipment....please don't lose your audience altogether....🙁

I'm sorry. It's still as ugly as hell. Wrong engine. How do you go from the gorgeous DB10 concept to the hideous Vantage? If it were my money I'd buy the slower Jag V8 Vantage. I couldn't smile at this new one on my drive.
