This Webinar will provide information on Adaptive Equipment, Apps, and Low-Tech Aids as well as a brief look at ECU's and Smart Home options for assisting individuals with Autism in Activities of Daily Living.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify 2 Apps for visual scheduling with Activities of Daily Living
2. Participants will be able to identify 2 options to assist individuals with following scheduling, timing, and telling time as needed for completing Activities of Daily living
3. Participants will be able to identify 2 smart devices for assistance with Activities of Daily Living

Kathy Hooyenga OTR/L MA, ATP, RET, UIC
Kathy Hooyenga is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Assistive Technology Certificate Program in the Department of Disability and Human Development at UIC. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist in the field of Assistive Technology for over 20 years, specializing in Access for Augmentative Communication, Access for Computers and Mobile Technologies, and Adaptive Equipment Design and Fabrication.
Kathy Waldera MS, OTR/L, MSBE, ATP, UIC
Kathy Waldera is an Occupational Therapist and an Engineer. She has worked in the field of Assistive Technology for over 25 years as both a Rehabilitation Engineer and an Occupational Therapist. Kathy currently specializes in Home Modifications, Assistive Technologies for ADL’s and IADL’s as well as Assistive Technologies for Cognition.
