Love the tips. To add some troubleshooting advice: If you have a problem ie. Game crashing or cannot load into game etc I suggest the following 1. Try kunos car on kunos track offline 2. Try turning off CSP then try above 3. Try disabling all added apps then try above This could help to find the issue and eliminate some variables. If 1. Works then check mods, maybe re install mods If 2. Works then reinstall CSP or different version If 3. Works then delete and reinstall apps

This video saved my butt I've been getting checksum fails for weeks with no clue how to fix it. Thanks!

Thank you! I may have to seek some outside assistance on that front: I haven’t had the opportunity to drive an FD or D1GP car, so it’s kind of hard to comment on them as much. I do have the connections to get some insight into that if I put in some legwork though🤙🏻

I had race cancelled error only on servers that had gravygarage car pack. I searched 3 months to find a fix and it was too low virtual memory size on the disk that had assetto corsa installed. Thankfully i found that fix before i reinstalled my whole windows :D

@Flozklol a lot of mod maps don’t support AI drivers and don’t come with a line for AI to follow, so the first thing to try is starting in practice mode and not race mode (maybe you didn’t mean “race mode” when you said start a race but it’s hard to tell via text. Pop into the discord and ask in help and advice, it’s a lot easier to diagnose issues that way discord.gg/ewCbs8T

Cool but can you help me with this? I used to launch ac with content manager as usual then i upgraded my ssd, i cloned it and everything is in place as it used to be but content manager wont open an it's showing me this big error saying "System.IO.IOException: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" followed by like 30 lines of code. It's not my directory, as i tried installing it on all my hdd's and my ssd. I reinstalled assetto corsa, the game launches by it's normal launcher and works fine but content manager won't budge. Any ideas why this would happen?

Mostly just read the mods descriptions for any hints, then google the problem or any error codes you can find and systematically try every potential solution listed until you fix it or decide it’s not worth it...that’s what the free, unlicensed, unofficial mod world takes 😅

Hi! Hope you can help me - I'm gettting "Internal error: an error occured while sending the request". The server is live but when I look at the log, it's having trouble finding the car. Thanks! That error means what it says, the 3D model for the guy driving the car is missing. Maybe the modder(s) behind that pack call for a driver mode that is used in some other common mods, but that they didn’t provide data files for. If you learn how to read the mod data you might be able to determine which driver model their pack is expecting to see, and then search the internet in an attempt to find that model 🤷🏻‍♂️

hey so what do you do if track is not working such as the touge tracks or point to point tracks the track will load but you will fall through the map or the track will crash after after loading. also in cm where it says go there will be an (!) displayed saying tag circuit is missing ill add it by going to content choosing the track and adding it but nothing changes i cant find a fix for it anywhere ive tried different download methods as well with cm and manually installing happened during installing mount akina where I was following your vid hope some one can help

Thank you! And AFAIK thats something from the developers doing maintenance or unexpected downtime that temporarily blocked joining any servers for all players? I don’t really know, I only ever heard of that happening once and the KUNOS social media pages mentioned some sort of outage

Hey Kame, when I tried downloading a car mod, the the game crashes and gives me this error message “Some Texture’s format or size might be wrong.” It could be that I don’t have CSP on, since im using my old graphics which cant handle CSP

Plenty of mod cars and tracks required CSP to function, you might check the mod documentation or ask the creator to see if CSP is required. Otherwise if the texture is wrong it sounds like the download is missed up or the modder made an error. I would plan to quit trying to run that car 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not sure if others have the same issue but when installing lots of stuff at once and you click the 3 lines at the top there is usually an install all button right at the bottom but for some reason I can't scroll down if the list is to long, to resolve this just right click the 3 lines at the top and install all option will be there 👌✌️

Sup, I have a old wheel but it works. It gets recognized in-game and I can see the little bar moving in the bindings. But when I get into a race it doesn't do anything. I was able to play with a controller but idk what I did it stopped working, do you know what's the issue? I also tried in the normal vanilla game and rebinding things. Do you have a discord server?

I know this tutorial was made quite a while ago, but do you know a fix to certain car skins not showing up in game at all? I wanted to run a le mans race but half of the LMP2 cars are grey because the skins are not loading

The main thing I know about skins is that the server host has to set them up to be used on the cars (ppl who join can’t pick their liveries) and both the server host and the ppl who join must have the skins installed and titled the same etc for them to display. There could be more to it than that, but that’s typically what I know of to check for.

Im having a problem with cannot have 0 car in the race and cant launch the LAC vip platinum edition im pissed... do you know how to do that?

ah damn well it was a long shot anyway, though some stuff here will be of great use to some people, my issue is though that a car mod i downloaded won't actually move when the AI is in control of it, the volkswagan Passat mod (not drifting btw) it's a really nice mod, so i was looking for a solution if there possibly was any..cheers

Most of my sounds for kunos cars got deleted when I replaced them with custom ones I get check sum online do u know how I can download the original ks sounds for the cars again ( I verified the integrity of files and I still don’t have the car sounds )

Has anyone had issues with their clutch not working when using Content Manager as a launcher for Assetto Corsa instead of the vanilla launcher? For some reason everything works as it should when AC is launched through Steam but as soon as I use Content Manager I lose clutch functionality. My wheel, throttle and brake are unaffected so I can technically drive, I just can't use the clutch at all :(

Hello, well I'm looking for days, how to solve an error that happens to me in some mods that I download, that when I go with the car, the car is very very slow, and I was wondering if you know what this error is, because it is only in some car mods of mine that look like this, others look normal, if you can help me I will be happy

i get inconsistent results using content manager, I got it to run once under offical starter. I use vive headset. Worked once, i had fun but i wanted to adjust my controls so i did then tried to start again and got a "race cancelled" error. I did not change any settings graphic or starter wise. Driving me nutty.

Not sure what that could be 🤔 Same car and track that worked before the control adjustment I assume? Always double check that you’re in practice mode for mod maps if nothing else works, but otherwise unless CSP up or downgraded to a level not compatible with the map I’m not sure what the cause could be. Great video ! , it helped with all my issues but I seem to only have one with natural mod filter with sol. When I download the natural filter it does not appear in the drop down menu and I've dropped it in content manager and added it to my root folder and still nothing , am I missing something ?

There are a lot of possible causes, but I do have a tutorial on installing the map properly. If you follow it then any issues are caused by the mod cars you’re using 🤔 Heres my tutorial on how to install SRP: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJZ2qaeupruZcso.html

I'm not using any CSP or SOL or whatever... using AC offline, I have 97 tracks and many mods working fine but I cannot load 3 car mods. No issues found in Content Manager, they show up ingame but it crashes back to menu. Any tips on how to fix or solve that? One of the car is ASR ferrari 82.

The mod documentation (if the creator provided any) may note that a certain level of CSP is required to use that mod, that’s something I’d check for. SOL is never required to drive cars, run maps, or even play online (worst case it will just be daytime for you while it’s night time for everyone else) But CSP has a lot of visual and physics extensions and because it extends the capabilities of the game so much, has become increasingly popular with mod creators: there are absolutely mod cars and tracks that simply will not load or enable you to play without running CM and the mods minimum required version of CSP. It usually comes down to running CSP, or abandoning any cars or tracks that don’t work without it…best of luck 🙏🏻

I got 3 car skins i made myself, but ALL 3 KEEP CHANING AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! HOW DO I FIX THIS???? I want to individually change them to the correct skins! (Same car model)

Hey, I'm pretty new in AC and just started playing around with mods a few days ago. Everything was working fine, but today I downloaded a few car packs, but the cars don't properly load. They just are blue, bugged textures. I installed CSP and put it into the newest version, but it didn't help. Any ideas what I could do to solve this issue?

Read up on the download page or read me included with the mod cars (if there was one) the blue is definitely CSP and they may have a certain version required to display correctly. Not everything is automatically backwards compatible so you may have to try the newest 20 CSP versions to hit upon one that works 🤷🏻‍♂️ Encrypted cars will always be blue in showroom, but should display fine in actual driving sessions

I found one more possibility. Sometimes CM installs mods incorrectly. Ford Mondeo 2017 did not want to run the game. Only when I unpacked it manually did the car start working in the game.

Try every mod car with a default track and document which ones fail. Then try every mod track with a default car and document which ones fail. Delete the ones that fail and/or try reinstalling them. If reinstalling doesn’t fix them, then delete the ones that fail.

i can download some mod but when i try to download a no hesi map it downloads and then says "unexpected end" when its done i dont kno why it does this with the no hesi only

I have a concern that is related to SOL. After installing it and setting it up accordingly my track skybox is red and my wheel/pedal stops responding, although I can still toggle on my headlights etc. Anything wrong that I might have done?

Machiko well, as long as it got fixed I guess we’re good!😅 Sometimes CM loses keybinds for no reason, but you can always rebind them. (Or in a pinch, open steam launcher, bind keys there, then open CM and bind keys there too...that tends to help repeat keybind loss)

I just got assetto corsa today on my PS4 and also bought the Japanese Pack, opened the game and tried to use different cars but at the top of the screen it tells me “contend installing, Please try again later.” I’ve tried online and free run and it still doesn’t work. Sounds like the PlayStation is still downloading and installing the car packs...probably need to wait with the PlayStation on and connected to the internet 👍🏻

2 things to check. First up is the folder structure for the cars: Usually either that’s from an incorrect file path (there’s more than one Assetto Corsa folder so if you used the search feature and picked the first one instead of clicking through the way I show in the video, you could have the incorrect file path) Or it could be the specific mod’s folder structure: car/data will work. car/car/data will not work. Depending on who creates and packages the mod, there could be an extra folder, and since AC only looks 1 folder deep that is another common reason a mod doesn’t show up. Good luck! 🍀 Second is do you have Custom Shaders Patch? Some mods require it. Does it do that with your current car when you pick a default map (such as “Drift”) Does it do that with your current map when you pick a default car (such as “AE86 Tuned”) Does it do that with both a default map *and* a default car (such as “AE86 Tuned” at the “Drift” map) Stop using any mod car or map where that error presents itself. If it happens with a default car and a default map, verify game files as shown in one of the repair steps in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qG2XwZh-gb3gcbg.html

Is the car mod so the car can run? Mine won't start but can put gas on it, and the car stays in a place where it won't start. how to fix?

I am new to all of this and followed all of your videos today to get AC fully set up. When i pick a car and a track (no matter which one it is) I click "Go!" and i get a message that says "Waiting for Race to end" then it says "Race Cancelled". Please help!

David Newkirk hmm...there are a ew possibilities, but I can probably help you out. Does this only happen for online servers? Or both online and single player modes? Things to try include: 1) for single player, set mod to practice instead of race 2) for drift content if there’s an AE86 mod involved (and sometimes other JDM cars) purchase the official Japanese Pack DLC 3) exit and restart Content Manager...which sounds silly but if you make a change like adding the Japanese Pack DLC it doesn’t always recognize the latest changes until you do this There are of course many other possibilities, but these couple ones will give us something to start with. If none of these work let me know: 1) Car or car pack (including maker e.g. DWG S14) you’re trying 2) Track you’re trying Does the car work on single player default “Drift” track? Does the track with when running a single player default car (such as the Kunos AE86 Tuned)

Hey did you manage to fix the problem mate?

hey i accidently uninstalled CM it worked perfectly before but i just figured i would download it again but now after like 1 minute every all of CM closes down, also the folder where u start CM what shoud i do? please answer

when i launch ac it says : An unforeseen event has caused the Assetto Corsa Launcher to retire from the race. A memory dump and log files have been generated in C:/User/.../Documents/Assetto Corsa/logs/ Would you like to create a .zip file to submit a report? It might take a minute to collect and compress the data. please help

Are you using Content Manager to launch and run AC? You might be able to fix that by Google searching the error name and trying any solutions in the top 20 threads, or simply quit using either the car, track, or supporting mod (e.g. ReShade) where this issue occurs. @@KameTrick thanks for trying to help , yes i was using content manager but it gave me an error too , when i tried searching a fix there was nothing

Had an issue where I was getting "Object rim_lf is missing" errors. It turns out I was using the recommended CSP patch, but the mod used the newest untested version of CSP. Installed the update and it works fine now.

That definitely happens, using an old map with a new car mod or vice versa can potentially cause compatibility issues…since these are all unofficial and no one’s getting paid there’s no quality control or standards people hold themselves accountable to, which means each individual modder may have different levels of difficulty depending on the mods they use. Glad you got your issue sorted!

I changed my mod track's names and all things broke. Every race being cancelled. I just want to correct their names. How can I fix it?

I can share what works well for me anyway, yeah🙌🏻 Here are my wheel settings for my Fanatec CSW: FFB 35-50 depending on the car; DRI 0; SPR 120; All other settings are at defaults

Hi, I have the original Assetto Corsa from steam recently installed, without mods. The content manager updated and with the key purchased, the custom shaders patch updated, everything updated and working, but when I want to enter the showroom it throws me this error, I don't know what to do anymore because I've had it for days and nobody can help me. (Srry for Google translate) Can't Start Custom Showroom: Externar Component has thrown an exception.

Often stuff like that has to do with encrypted car models, but I don’t mess around in showroom much, so the best place I can think of to ask that question is in the ac help channel of my discord discord.gg/ewCbs8T

When I do a full rotation with my wheel it will recenter at 360 degrees instead of 0. Any idea why ?

i try playing ac with mods but no online or anything and its crahses before the map even loads in like on the loading screen

so im just playing assetto, but idk why when i play with some maps, it suddenly became night even though i set the time at evening in the beginning, can i know how to fix it? is it bcs the mods i downloaded or anything else..

It could be a few things, but I tend to start with trying different versions of CSP and SOL. Not every map prefers the same version. It could be something else too, though 🤔

hey ive got a weird glitvh where my tires are partially underground so i cant drive.any tips for fixing this issue? been trying to fix for so long

If it’s multiple cars on one map it could be the pit design by the map modder. If is multiple maps and one car that keeps having the issue it could be a bad/not-very-robust car mod

Ok, so I've got the DLC JDM pack, and downloaded some mods, (GravyGarage, DWG, and WDT - Can all be found in Goosiest vids). However, the map(Drift) that I use work, but whenever I try to use a DLC or Mod car, and try to launch into a single player session, I get in the loading screen, and it crashes. I tried the same map with the GT86(Free/No purchase needed), and I loaded right in, no issues. All my launches were from content manager. Any suggestions or help?

What version of CSP are you running? If you don’t know or don’t have it, switch to the most recent stable / green version per this video: Here’s how to install Custom Shaders Patch: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fn9rsMGPkc6bobQ.html

Possibly, but my install has been pretty smooth so there are plenty of funky problems ppl have that I haven’t seen (which means I haven’t had to learn how to fix them either) That said, what’s going on/when error are you getting and where?

I've never had any type of dlc and ive never had any type of problem using any car even the DTP ones but now all of a sudden it just says race cancelled? Do i have to spend the money? I mean it worked before

Does DTP pack still work? I know the AE86 uses the DLC content so you won’t be able to join any servers running an 86 without it...and I suspect that isn’t the only one.

Im pretty new to ac and when i tried loading up my mods there were no colors and everything was grey. Also, I have the japanese pack and it also usually said that the race was cancelled.

Can you get World Drift Tour Street pack to load? That’s sort of a “know good” pack to make sure your mod install process is correct. Colors being off is usually fixed by running CSP

Yesterday my assetto corsa was working perfectly fine. Today, I try to launch using content manager and it keeps saying race cancelled. No new mods, using the same car and track as yesterday.

Same issue today, just from a day to another it cancells all the races I try to join, single player and online, I don't know how to fix it

Me too :/ I bought the game to drift, following the playlist of kame trick, but when I press "Go!" Buttor, booom! Race canceled, and it starts the base game. And I don't have none mods installed, just the original game.
