Digimon is legitimately a better series though, it just doesn't have the baby indoctrination comfort brand marketing appeal of Pokemon. And I'm saying this as a baby that was psychologically conditioned to view pokemon as a comfort brand and didn't adopt digimon until WAY later.

Though I will give Woolie this: I've seen a bit of iCarly, mainly because it was on and I was bored, and even then I didn't really understand it. Though that might be from not even trying to understand.

@@_Jay_Maker_ Not really. Dr. Stone is one of the few examples of starting off on a bad foot and getting way better as it goes. It starts with a good hook but focuses on a romance with two characters in a tired will-they-won't-they situation. If this kept on it would have been cancelled within a few months. Realizing that it was a big mistake it basically throws those characters out in exchange for a much better cast, one that plays to the series strengths - doing science.

Yeah it's basically the opposite of what has caused the recent "reaction discourse" so to speak. The problem isn't simply _that_ you're showing someone else's stuff in your video, but when you're essentially just stealing what someone else made and get the views only for yourself. Semi-relevant but it's kind of how I feel about music/videogame piracy - I'm infinitely less concerned with someone hearing a song I made for free, than I am with someone else wrongly claiming credit for it. Downloading a game isn't "stealing it", but someone writing you out of the credits and/or selling your game with no royalties would be. Both of which are of course things publishers and record companies do...

And so Woolie finally experiences the magic of the Harlock ZIV dub. It was...truly a thing.

Yeah, I find it to be an annoying over simplification. Ask just about anyone with more than one cat (me), and they'll recall any of the several times per week they meow at one another, especially when they have zoomies, and ESPECIALLY when you are trying to sleep.

Cats also chirp while looking out the window at birds, or when hunting birds.

The whole "close the lights" thing isn't that uncommon, and oddly enough it's present in every major language group. A fair amount of my extended family, particularly the older ones, all use the expression. I personally don't mind it, but it's one of the things that always poked at the back of my head when I was younger so I asked my grandfather why. He couldn't explain it and told me to ask my great-granduncle, who was at that time over 90 years old. His explanation was that when electricity was "new" (1900-1920s new zealand), they would be taught about wiring and power systems using roads and water pipes as analogues. So people would think of it as closing off / shutting off the power to the electrical thing, hence "close the lights" or "shut off the lights". The worst part of it all is that nobody in my family says "close the torch", they all say "turn off the torch". Guess torches don't count as lights.

My thought on the subject - In everyday usage, water can be wet but it cannot become wet. In the same way a soaked towel is wet but could not become wet once already wet. Technically, the two-tone scale of 'wet' and 'dry' is far too limited for how real water humidity and absorption works on a scientific level. Is why air humidity is represented by a percentage of how much water the air can absorb.

Little late to contribute to the "is water wet?" debate, but the most logical definition of wetness I've seen was "a state in which a fluid is adhering to a solid." Only a solid can be wet, therefore water can't be wet. Ice can be wet, but water cannot.
