imagine living on the streets and just being offered to have this done to you, i’d be so grateful

I gave $9 to a homeless man the other day. People tell me to be careful because they may be drug addicts or are taking advantage of people. I couldn’t really read his sign to figure out his story, but I’m glad I didn’t ignore him. He called me “sweetheart” and told me to have a safe evening (probably because of all of the riots in my city). It was such a nice feeling but it also made me sad and incredibly spoiled. :( 2020 hasn’t been kind.
