My apologies on the mistake in Question 1! The correct solution is as follows: The gradient is indeed m = 6 as calculated however I skipped a step of solving for c in the equation y = mx + c 12 = 6 * 5 + c c = -18 Thus the equation of the tangent being y = 6x -18 Credit to @user-pz2wn9ql7y & @benjackson1847 for pointing this out!

the first solution is incorrect you should've done point-slope equation (y-y1=m(x-x1)) which would be y-12=6(x-5) or y=6x-18

Physics undergraduate here, the equation of motion question part b, I think you should have subbed t=10 into the acceleration equation as this would tell you if the velocity is increasing or decreasing. The positive value of the velocity you found to be + 2.74 m/s refers to the direction of the velocity being along the positive x direction but not to whether the velocity is increasing or decreasing as the acceleration would tell us.

I think your first solution is wrong? You calculated the y value for the curve, so they meet at (5,12). So, y=6x+b 12=6*5+b 12=30+b B = -18 So the tangent is 6x-18

I’ve always hated math all the way from 4th grade to now (sophomore high school) and I have bad insomnia so I used to do basic 4th-8th grade math problems and it put me to sleep fast because of how depressing and boring it was 😂

Well if I remember correctly from my time in school nothing put me to sleep like math and history to wake up

Pi in decimal form is indeed 3.14... but in degrees form it is 180°

pi itself isn't 180, but pi radians (π rad, usually just π) = 180º
