I'm an American, and let me just say that I disagree with Chris Hemsworth about the Aussie accent being anti-aphrodesiacal... The way you add an r where it doesn't belong, or take a word with one or two syllables into a word with six or seven is just amazing. "Here we go" now imagine saying that with an American accent, Bruce or Sheila. Oh, you think yourselves mundane because you hear it all the time? Come on up here and sip the moonshine, taste the multi various accents. Tell me that all these accents aren't just a little bit more anti aphrodisiac all than what you boguns are up to down there.

"so" for almost all Americans is one syllable, but the Aussie "so" has at least three sounds to it.

That’s very interesting. I guess it’s hard for me to understand because one cannot hear their own accent. When I speak, I don’t hear an accent. I just hear words. When I hear the American accent, it sounds very harsh. There’s a lot of effort speaking in an American accent because there’s more movement in the mouth when speaking. Whereas I barely move my mouth when speaking. It is interesting when you think about it 😊
