Had mine close to 15 years,and just renewed the laces. Honest to God,

I’ll just wearing them out, gives me a good excuse to buy new ones. Damn good job though. 👍🏾👍🏾

He takes better care of his shoes than my dentist takes care of my mouth.

No way I'm buying 10 different cleaning products. Impressive though !

I had a brand new pair of black/amaretto and walked into a deep puddle/pothole full of water by mistake. I'm going try to bring them back to life with this. Thanks so much! Can I use a black shoe polish on them or should I keep to a creme after using saddle soap?

S Perry sells lace kits and in the kit is a needle tool to push/pull the lace through the lace channel and around the back of the shoe. Easily done.

I like mine to look old and beat up

Chuck them in the shower, scrub them and dry. Rub in saddle soap and brush them. They come up like new. I treat my Sperry's hard, I hike in them, in the Philippines but I still get 4 years out of them before I have to throw. I've got one pair I keep for best for about 10 years now; they are pristine. I wash and saddle soap them after every time I wear them. Sperry's are amazing shoes.

Now this is just a huge guess, but I'm assuming he used the saddle soap he showed himself holding onto before he started cleaning? As far as the brushes, any small amount of googling will reveal those mysteries to you

I'm a suburban DC lawyer for almost 30 years. I try to maintain my nice items, including my shoes. I clean, condition and then polish. Regularly. I do my own bicycle maintenance too. This is not a third world activity; it's an upper class activity - in any country. Your shoes are like your friends...get good ones and treat 'em right.
