Suede is hard to restore fully so I think this is still a good job to do for someone who is really attached to a bag like this one and wants to extend its life.

I love it when designer bags look old and worn. It shows that the owner actually *used* the bag, ya know? They didn't just buy it to display it on a shelf.

No it shows they didn’t take care of it at all and threw it around. None of my grandmother’s bags look like this... All are older than 40 years old...

There are breaks in between projects and the fact that he chose to do this kind of job and get compensated is the motivation there.

Maybe that would have cost a lot more for the client... it would have looked fabulous but a lot more work and cost for the owner of the bag who probably only wished to revamp the suede...

I'm wondering why you didn't remove the leather strap from the chain? It surely would have been easier to clean it properly and to dye it and then re-thread it? It did look lovely at the end though 😊

I’m watching this with my cat on my lap and I could tell she was confused about where the sounds in the video were coming from, so I brought my phone down to her level so she could see and she actually looked interested!! Her eyes kept darting around the screen while the suede was being brushed and the masking tape was being applied. It was as if she couldn’t look away!! So now you know that VeTiVeR is cat approved!!! 😻👍😂

It is vintage so he did all he could. Suede is difficult to restore 100%.
