You definitely get a lot of Nina in king of scars & Zoya gets a lot of development which is super nice!! There's a big surprise at the end of the book tho that will be a lot more impactful if you read the shadow and bone books first

I think if you love feminist retellings of greek mythology, you’d love Madeline Miller’s other book ‘Circe’! I personally have heard many people say that its even better than The Song of Achilles so. Edit: AHHAHAHAH I JUST WATCHED THE NEXT PART OF YOU PULLING OUT CIRCE 😭 A couple recs that i think you may enjoy (don’t quite know your taste yet haha but) - Belladonna by Adalyn Grace - A Dowry of Blood by S.T Gibson - One For My Enemy - Olivie Blake - An Ember in the Ashes - Sabaa Tahir - The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty (this is a bit of a leap as its about a pirate who is also a single-mum)
