I’ve kinda noticed people who are terminally online have a harder time discerning parody from reality. Just maybe being online too much fucks with your perspective on what is real, I say this as someone who constantly has KZread videos on while I am working, playing games, etc.

That show is just pure gold... Every sentence is so stupid you can't help but laugh every second. I can only describe it as "the show where the interviewer is the voice of internet trolls".

Thing is taken out of context and only seeing a few seconds could confuse people, especially seeing how the actual specialists react, how they stay serious. Because the guests are indeed actual university professors and you're conditioned to think they'd only take part in serious documentaries. But if you watch something like the entire series Cunk on Britain, at some point, surely they'd realize it's all a joke. I mean, just the intro where she says history is like a rearview mirror, but for time and the United Britain of Great Kingdom... I mean, it would be obvious it's a joke.

The things she says sort of makes you go 'wait a second' just enough to where you don't know if she's joking or not initially.

She’s so good at this. I’m crying over here every time she speaks.

The best part is that beforehand, the experts are told that they're on a parody show, but she always finds a way to stump them regardless!

Having dry humor can definitely backfire because people in America are not very good at subtlety and wordplay as a rule. I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about bengal cats and some random lady walked up to us and inserted herself in the talk (it was completely unprovoked). She said, "oh I love bengal cats!" So I said, "oh sorry we were talking about BAGELS." She looks confused and a little scared, to be honest, probably thinking she was losing her hearing. Then she says, "bagels are ok," and shuffles off looking dejected. Meanwhile I turn back to my friend and her face is blue from holding in laughter. It wasn't a funny joke, but the nosy lady's complete inability to detect she was being screwed with killed her.
