@@jasonwakefield7506 Okay but Dean Smith and team was getting whooped by UCLA. UCLA won 10 titles in 12 years. Smith never won a National title until when? Oh, Michael Jordan was on his team in 81-82. History says the game against Georgetown was “evenly” matched. However, with 17 seconds left on the clock, and the Tar Heels down by 1 point, somebody made what ended up being the Game Winning shot and put them up by 1. Wonder who that was?🤔 Oh, Michel Jeffery Jordan. So here we are once again with the killer assisting in making a coach legendary. MJ was never afraid of the moment and didn’t choke. This is a fundamentally strong difference between him and Bron, and one of the reasons MJ is the goat. That was Deans FIRST championship, and though he had Sam Perkins and James Worthy, a highly competitive MJ is the one who sealed the game for them. We put too much emphasis on coaches anyway. The coach can’t make you miss or make a game winning shot, or make shots in crunch time. Don’t matter the “play” he draws up, if the “player” can’t execute(like Bron didn’t many times, choked in 2011) then it matters not what a coach does. MJ NEVER choked in big moments, Bron has. He didn’t just lose to Dallas, he choked. Anyway, here we are again, MJ making way for a coach to be HOF, Dean wasn’t HOF until AFTER he won 1st national Chip. He was inducted in 1983. One more thing, Isaiah wasn’t talking about college neither. Listen to him again. He was talking about NBA coaches.

In addition, so what, coaches can’t make players hit shots in pressure moments. They can only try to create the opportunity. MJ assisted in making coaches legendary. Phil wasn’t HoF either when he started with MJ, they became great together. We put too much emphasis on coaches. Regardless of the plays they draw up, if the player can’t execute, they lose. MJ was an executer. That’s why they wanted the ball in his hands at the end of games OR use him as a decoy for another to get shot off because the defense was terrified with the ball in his hands.

It's just the difference in what the 2 achieved in their prime, when they had the chance to win and in the way they reacted to their challengers (LBJ lost to the Mavs, melted with the Spurs, flopped and complained too many times). Lebron phisicality and longevity of course gave him unmatchable numbers and provided him the possibility to be the goat, by far, but he did not manage to do it, being its greatness very questionable in many situations. The "quality" of its leadership and ability to impact in crucial moments is lower and more discontinuous for sure when compared to MJ. To this extent even Kobe Bryant is a closer contender for the goatness. It is also questionable what would have happened to the Cavs title without Irving taking control of the last plays. But ok...if you think he is the goat ok. Have a nice day.
