+Fallen Angel “ThugPug” Wild One I mean think about it from Danny's side, though. He jumped into a huge, early trend of music that he may or may have not genuinely liked, excelled to a fucking enormous pillar of fame in the media, his genre, and metal as a whole. He had people constantly criticizing and praising his band at the same time. Shit like this changes and wears down on people. Imagine being hated and loved by millions of people at the same time. That's fucking weird. It's got to do some odd shit to your head.

Ben is probably right, Danny should have left a long time ago. He really didn't seem into it anymore, and I personally feel like he was really bringing the band down. But, I myself, and many others in the AA family will defiantly miss Danny a ton. But on the other hand I really do believe that this new chapter of AA will be a great one. I think Denis is super talented and he's going to bring a lot of good things to Asking Alexandria.

***** You know just because Danny isn't in the band doesn't mean that they can't be great. Like Ben said We can finally pick up the pieces and make AA to where we want it to be. Ben also said that he just didn't wake up one day and start caring this happened over time. We didn't even try to make Danny even look like he was caring anymore. I just feel that this was a good choice for both Danny and AA. They both seem more happy then they have been in a while. But i will miss Danny for his amazing voice, but i feel that Denis will help make AA start a new chapter with their band. I just wish that both Danny's band and AA have an amazing future and wish the best of luck.

its sad danny lost such interest. i remember at bandcamp. he pulled me up and hugged me and smiled so brightly. and i saw him two years ago(2014). at some festival. he looked completely vacant. then i saw him 2015 at sonic boom in we are harlot. he danced. smiled. and looked genuinely happy. im happy this change happened.

It’s so wild to me that after all these years later Danny is here helping keep the torch of AA alive while Ben is currently now not apart of the band. With all due respect to Ben he is a man of his word absolutely being “family first” for his family as he stuck with that mentality. it’s inspiring even if it’s as heartbreaking as leaving his own band that he’s the leader of. I just would’ve never expected back when the split happened back in 2015/2016 that the future of the band today is what it is currently. Shows Danny’s loyalty towards his band mates/brothers through thick & thin & it shows truly us fans that Danny is the heart of the band while Ben is the soul of it. It’s a remarkable journey all these years later us as fans have seen them gone through. We’ll never know how heavy their journey is truly for them because we aren’t in their shoes yet from the outside it seems like such a beautiful rollercoaster of an experience. Long live AA & hopefully they continue onward keeping their unique journey forward with more great music, regardless if over the years the fan reception hasn’t been the best due to the change in sounds over the years. The guys are incredible musicians & i believe they deserve much more love & respect that they should get more praise for.

Idk if the Ben here, or the one now is lying. He said in an interview last year he was super unhappy when Dennis was in the band and just wanted his good ole pal Danny back. But here he makes it seem they are so much happier without Danny, and he acted like it was shitty that Danny wanted to make them softer. Such a 180, I wish there was an explanation for it.

Yeah I mentioned this too... Think he said the truth here and he missed Danny as a friend. Think at the beginning it was all good with Denis and they were happy the band could step forward. But in an other interview (2017?) Ben said he doesn't want to talk about Denis and the time with him, because the band and Denis all know what stuff Denis did and that it was not cool, but he didn't said what it was. So I think there were some incidents and Ben wanted Danny back, not the unmotivated, passionless, just drugged one, but the "old" Danny.

I'll tell you the exact reason why Danny changed, his drug habits. it's pretty obvious that he drinks like a fish and does some other shit but I still respect the man regardless. although AA still wrote heavy songs about 'sex drugs and rock and roll' I'm guessing Danny just felt like he couldn't express what he wanted to say through that kind of music anymore. if you listen to Harlot's album you can definitely hear Danny telling stories and expressing his thoughts in a better way. Moving On was his first step into whatever genre you'd like to consider harlot.

Honestly, the production of music solely thrives through a band's drive and happiness in their career. Yes, Danny's songs were over the top amazing when he was in AA but honestly, the band didn't seem happy or into the music at any live show I ever went to. Danny was always plastered and the bandmates always looked agitated. I love AA's new music now and so far I've been to only two shows but the life and excitement could not be unseen in the band's performances. I've also seen Danny's newer performances and he has more life in him than I've ever seen. Yes, the band losing Danny may have brought a lot of heartache to everyone, obviously as well as the band itself, but the outcome is very much worth the pain. Sometimes what we want isn't what we need.

Saw the band live with Danny, and he gave off an impression, like he didn't want to be there. the whole performance was stale and saddening. Saw them a few days ago with the new lead singer, one of the most energetic and amazing concerts I have ever seen. I love Danny, I think the music he is making with his new band is great, but AA is a much better band with the new lead singer.

I've been calling this for a while. I watched some AA concert on youtube back in 2013 or so and danny hardly sang any of the words. he didn't seem into it at all. Ben, Sam, Cam, James, they were all feeling the music and headbanging like it was their last show ever. And Danny was just Walking back and forth basically talking his lyrics. It was so sad and so aggravating to see. I was always telling my friends, "its a matter of time before They kick Danny out." And it finally happened. I'm really looking forward to some real screams and growls and maybe a "Fuck" here and there.

Keep in mind that I'm speaking on behalf of me only, and that these are my opinions: I've been following AA for years, and this is what I've observed. The first two albums were great. Then I was disappointed with From Death to Destiny. I saw them live, and I was really disappointed with how Danny was live. Then I hear all this talk about Danny being apathetic towards his career, band, etc. His unclean vocals were really pitiful and his cleans weren't the same anymore. It didn't surprise me when he left the band. Also, I've liked Denis from the start, he's a great guy. Anyway, I went and listened to Danny's new band named We Are Harlot. And then I realized, it's not that Danny got "too old" for his screaming (which is something I've been seeing a lot amongst comments on various videos, which is ridiculous. Danny is only 24) it's just that his heart wasn't into it. If you listen to his new band the sound is very different. I see a lot of hateful comments towards Danny and Denis both. Danny was obviously unhappy, so he went to find something better for him. Denis is the perfect fit for Asking Alexandria. His clean and unclean vocals are awesome and his heart is in the right place. AA honestly couldn't have found a better replacement. Of course things will be different now that Danny is gone, but I don't see this change as a bad thing - I see it as a new, positive chapter for AA.

Don't get me wrong, I think we'll all miss Danny a lot, and he brought a lot to Asking Alsxandria until he seemingly stopped carrying. The thing that I'm not sure Ben realises is a bands defining features really rely on three core elements. The sound, the lyrics and the production. A band i really love (Dead By April) has gone through multiple singers and instrumentalists yet these things have remained the same due to one man in that band (Pontus Hjelm) AA has had Danny from the almost beginning but he wasn't only what AA was. Now he was a massive part of the band but with him gone, the only thing that the band now relies on is Ben. Dennis is good but he's not AA, he won't ever be AA. Ben has to keep control of the bands sound and the remaining lyrical writing that made us like the band. If it comes about that Danny did more to the band then just lend his voice, the band as it was will die. This new band with Dennis may be good; if not possibly better, but they can never claim to be the band that once had the success prior. So for him wanting to prove that AA would live on without Danny, He can't do that unless he really tries to make the band stay on the same sound as before. If he gives Dennis more control in terms of the 3 main aspects, the band formally known as Asking Alexandria will cease to exists. It's simply just another band with the same name.

Danny wanted to do something else and it was like a bad relationship you're trying hard to keep together. Dennis will NEVER be better than Danny but Dennis is an amazing talent and good enough "Stand Up & Scream" & "Reckless & Relentless" are fucking iconic in this genre and everyone knows it because sure other bands thought they were a bunch of wild drunks but they knew damn well they had ZERO talent next to AA when Danny was in. Idek maybe Danny will do a feature later on down the line but right now Danny must be lost and feeling regret I know he says or looks like he's happy but we can't tell what's inside I mean his weight has gotten outta control he's not even 25 but he looks 38....he needs fucking true friends.

I think We Are Harlot will fail honestly. Even though they only have one album, they don't have many likes and their records hasn't sold that great. Like Asking's last album debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts, and We Are Harlot was like #156.

People actually do care about that style. Look at Black Veil Brides. They are definitely bringing back the 80s rock and heavy metal feel and mixing it with modern hard rock and metal/metalcore and have been since their second album. Look how well it's doing. Consecutive top 10 records and still selling lots. They've been successfully appealing to their teenage emo crowd they've had since day one yet also pleasing the 40 and 50 year old Crüeheads and older generations of fans of older bands with an almost nostalgic sound that brings forth the freshness of today's rock and metal and maintains a lot of glam rock and classic rock from back then.

Well I'll let the numbers speak for themselves. Maybe they will prove me wrong and take off, but they aren't off to a good start so far. I think it's kind of strange Danny posted a bunch of pics when he was in AA yesterday. It's as if he misses it.

Really? I didn't hear about that. I do still follow him on Instagram and apparently it's owned by a publicist because it's used for advertising most of the time. Either that or they're paying him to advertise. I wouldn't doubt he misses the though. Those were his best friends and they went through a lot of shit together. It's kind of like when you find a new type of friend that seems cooler. You start hanging out with them, eventually completely abandoning your old friends. But then there's that period of regret and you wish you had them back.

I wish people would stop putting the blame on Danny's doorstep, he was pretty much pressured into writing music he hated, for good reason too. The older crap sounds shocking and the new music sounds even worse. He's off to bigger and better things, I'll always follow We Are Harlot but im sad to say that Asking Alexandria's days are pretty much numbered as far as I can see. Just turning into another generic pop punk sounding metalcore. Apologies to anyone who likes them now, but oh well.
