A Parkinson’s diagnosis can feel unsettling and bring many questions and emotions. But here’s the good news: You don’t have to figure out everything at once. That doesn't really help if you don't have a diagnosis made in person first. I just tried it.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's, but several people other than my neuro thought it was not PD. But I only saw the doctor once, and since then his NP. I saw a movement disorder specialist, and she thought more likely it was MSA. A DaTscan showed definite dopamine loss, but since it doesn't differentiate the report said "consistent with Parkinson's", so now it's PD again. Quite frankly I don't know what I have, no treatment has helped except for short periods. I'm losing ground, feeling worse, short of breath, and no one to advocate for me. Does everyone have these problems?
