    Assalamoalaikum wa rehmatullah wa barakatuhuu, I am looking to pursue Emergency Medicine as a career full time. However, some part of me also wants to pursue Cardiac Surgery (which is a big part of why I am a doctor). So what I am thinking is I can get on the CST pathway, and let those three years help me get the surgical experience/training in and if i want to carry forward with that i can go down the Cardiac Surgery pathway or I can enter DRE EM. A. Does this sound like a reasonable plan? B.If I take up Core Surgical Training and then apply into DRE EM after conpletion of CST, would that mean i will have Double CCT at the end of EM training? C. Should I stick with trying for ACCS EM?

    what a lovely guy dr.Islam is! according to his history, are training jobs for emergency specialist rare and hard to secure now? do you suggest us for the first job try to seek training emergency positions? or we have to start with non-training jobs then start to find training jobs?

  • @RoadToUK

    @RoadToUK

    3 жыл бұрын

    No they aren't. Things have changed now, restrictions have been removed, so that international graduates are at par with local graduates. We always recommend starting with a non training job to better understand the system. Please also see: roadto.uk/5scT/
