I'm in my thirties, my dad is in his sixties. We experience similar things still. Like a few weeks ago, he asked me to do something for him involving his truck. He gave me instructions verbally. I repeated them verbatim back to him, and he said, "No." Told me that if I had to ask questions, that I'm of no help. It was like being 16 all over again XD The following afternoon, he was more clear-headed, so he gave me the instructions again, I repeated them, and he said, "Yes, lemme write them down."

Another good way to cause emotional damage is to tell your kid to do one task, then right after they start yell at them to do another task even though they aren't done, then when they start on the new task yell at them for not finishing the other task. This should cause emotional damage that will affect their ability to multi-task for the rest of their life. For extra affect, add more than three tasks at once

Those driving lessons caused emotional damage which have added to my accumulated emotional debt, VERY effective.😭🤣

Hey Steven’s dad, I thought this might help since I’m a mechanic. To fix the fuel pressure regulator pipe, you need to first remove it using a cross head screwdriver, drain all the fluid from the engine, disconnect all the exhaust lines, unbolt the transmission and rewrite the whole car and in case that doesn’t work, sell it. Hope it helps!

Hey Steven, you are spot on with Asian parenting...it translates to couples too. My Han wife, I'm mixed blood westerner as she says, asked me once to learn more Mandarin so when we are in China, I can speak with her parents while we play Majong. My response of course was YES, teach me, since she was a linguistics professor in China, I was very excited and ready to learn...then she said, NO Mandarin is too complex and you are too old to learn...emotional damage!
