For our first episode, we’ll spend a day in the life of Rep. Maria Robinson, a Democrat from Framingham, Massachusetts. As a baby, Maria was adopted from Korea by a European-American family. A few years ago, Maria and her husband Matt adopted Marissa (now in middle school) after fostering her for a few years. Maria ran for office in a challenging write-in campaign and, upon winning, became the first Korean-American in the Massachusetts state legislature. We’ll follow Maria’s journey as a state representative as she balances her family life with her busy legislative career.
