Finally!!!!! THanks guys hoping that you continues to send us your training perfect for my morning routine ❤️❤️❤️send you lot of love
Thank you David & Jelena! Though I’m regular in yoga, however this beginner yoga still the best for me to strengthen my core and review my basic poses. Great love from 🇲🇾 ❤❤❤
When I started ashtanga 3 months ago, I had to stop this video twice, i was that tired! Today I do your half primary series with some variations, because my flexibility isn't so good, but I can do all the chaturangas with you! Thank you so much for such a brilliant practice
I’m trying this almost everyday for last 10 days I’m getting so much better I’m working on breathing and movement together

Hi! Just out of curiosity, did you keep up the practise or did you decide not to? I did my first one today and although I am not disappointed, I felt that this was too much of a challenge for me, I am a beginner and I feel I don´t have enough strength nor mobility yet. But reading your comment about the 10 days, gives me hope.

(2 months later) I came back to this practise and video today and although I am trying not to judge myself, the dancer in me cannot help but being very proud and grateful that 2 months ago, this was too intense and too fast for me. Today I enjoyed the practise and wanted it to be longer. I still am not quite there yet with a few poses such as the forward fold and placing my hands next to my feet on the mat, I am aware of it and that´s all. No judgement, only gratitude. No, who am I fooling? I am thrilled!! 😍. Thank you David and Jelena, you two are a joy to both listen to and watch. Namaste!

@@TheHitchkick O wonderful! So you are continuing the practice. I have been doing Hath yoga so, I am able to achieve asan the way instructed. I lack stamina to achieve full class. I am working on it and slowly I ll be there 🤞
This is GOLD! Thank you so much for sharing a routine that is a bit challenging but still attainable for an absolute Astanga beginner! There are so many yoga “beginner” videos out there that don’t even offer alternatives if one is too stiff… I just decided to start Astanga and then your video magically appeared in my search. I will practice it every morning. Looking forward to more videos from you David and Jelena, thank you again!

Thank you David and Jelena.
Watching Jelena practice makes me feel so peaceful
There is no yoga teacher in the area where I live and I want to master this. As yoga is a very natural form I believe that people can find the right way to do this. Thank you for your content.

Awesome!! I would still suggest creating an opportunity to study under an Ashtanga Master - technical corrections make all the difference 😉💕🌈 GL with your practice!
Amazing! The best Ashtanga yoga teachers ever! Gracias 🙏🏼
I'm not a beginner I started yoga over 30 years ago I'm almost 60. I like this bc I'm determined to get a practice back with ashtanga so beginners is ideal for me right now. Great video ❤
I wish I could have done "better" but I am a beginning with a dancers background in my mid 50s. Unfortunately, this practise was too difficult for me, I will have to return to a vinyasa practise to get more strength and mobility before I can come back to you two gorgeous people. Such a shame but still I would like to thank you very much for letting me take part of this. It is however a joy to see you move your incredible body, Jelena! David you are a gem, your voice and your guidance is perfection to my eyes and ears. Thank you!
I am 50 and have decided to look after my body better, I am writing this during my 1st break (only managed 9 mins)....I need a few more minutes and will begin again. I am determined to finish it and do it again tomorrow....hopefully I will get stronger. Thanks for the lesson and all the information on how to do the moves (flow?)
fantastic-thank you!
Dear David and Jelena, l appreciate you every time more and more. I am not an ashtanga, and this lesson is perfect for me. I am a yoga teacher but l am not as good as you are! I am learning so much. Thanks for your intelligent lessons. GOD BLESS YOU. Cecilia

@@DavidandJelenaYoga Did it this morning - Yay! Truth be told - I was really kinda intimidated by Ashtanga. I did not think I could do it. But your beginner video has become my workout x2 weekly. Moving slowly and allowing myself to experience the breath and movement - allowing my brain to be at peace in each movement - it's rhythmic. I embrace the growth process. It definitely inspires me to keep going. ThanX again!
I discovered ashtanga yoga style few months ago. Primary classes were actually for advanced. Thanks to offer this fundamental class. Very helpful to gros. Namasté 🙏🏽
Hi lovely couples, it’s been more than two months i lost my beloved 27 son in an extremely shocking way, I haven’t done any yoga since then and I’m under medication, though today was the first day I started with this 30 minutes and I am so grateful to you, I wish the best for you ❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔
I love this beginners class. Would it be possible for you both to do a beginners 2 class as I have been doing this one for a few weeks now and feel ready to move on to the next step. Maybe a 35 min one and then 40 mins etc up to 60 mins bringing it to the full version in a time frame that builds on progression. I love the chanting but just can’t follow so maybe break that down a bit. I love Ashtanga because of the structure and watch your tutorials but end up being overwhelmed, whereas a weekly structure or monthly might work for me and others who need to build up using a more scaffolding approach. I don’t know how you would structure it but I am sure you do! Thank you. I am a big fan and love the way you both work together in a supportive, collaborative and fun way. You have definitely cracked it and made it accessible. Ashtanga teachers in the London suburbs are few and far between. I am very grateful to you both.
Thanks guys❤ David's voice like quiet lake, so peaceful and relaxing .
David and Jelena, thank you so much for your work and these beginner videos. I used to learn to practice Ashtanga at mysore classes and led ones as well a while back and haven't been practicing since the pandemic. Your tutorials are helping me to get back into Ashtanga without resistance and kindness to myself. Thank you so much! ❤
Love it ! Thank you !
Thank you for this super introduction to Ashtanga! Could you do the second part of the go floor series too please? 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yes, I actually finished this class. thank you, I don't feel so defeated.
Just what I needed. David's instruction is so helpful. I've dabbled in Ashtanga before, but I guess I, the student, was finally ready and David and Jelena appeared (in my algorithm)
Thanks a lot from Russia

Thank you for that video David and Jelena!
Thank you for this pre-primary series. ❤
Thank you for this short Ashtanga sequence! Good tempo and on point! Namaste 🙏🏼
Love this class. I would love to see more longer classes.
Excellent straight- forward instruction. It’s my second go and I’m feeling a bit broken, but i remember back in the day that I’ll mend with practice and my body will thank me for it. It’s been years but I enjoyed it before - when I was able to do the whole primary series! - and I’m looking forward the getting my posture, balance and flexibility back. Thanks!
Many thanks for this excellent introduction. One request I have is a link in your notes to the opening chant. I don’t know enough Sanskrit to follow along. 😊
Good to see you after a long time🙏🙏🌹🌹
Thanks
I would like to take up a Training with you two one day. Watching your vidoes all over youtube brings me so much encouragement and motivations. I am currently in Thailand doing TTC and almost coming to an end with my traning, infact on Sunday it will be my written exams to becoming a Yoga Instructor. Thank you guys for this video, it helps me polish my errors and above all I enjoy learning from you both. Keep up the good work. Namaste. ❤

It's great an in-between practice especially when I don't have energy to do a 1 hour version. Thank you!
This is the first video I've watched and you gained a new follower! ❤
Love it! I just did this for the second time this week. My shoulders are still sore from my first try a few days ago so I was struggling a bit more this time, but I know I’m building my strength 😌💪🏻
Super well done. Very inspiring and nice ☺♥

This was wonderful, love the detailed directions regarding the press points on the mat. Ashtanga is challenging but very structured. I am a yoga teacher typically teaching Vin or Hatha. Jelena and David are such beautiful people and a great breath of fresh air. Thank you for the videos. Gabriele
Thank you for this entry point into Ashtanga. I’ll definitely be following this video as I build up strength for a proper chatarungs dandasana. Also finding I get dizzy in the triangle poses if I look up towards my skyward hand, so I look down towards the floor, instead.
I'm excited to make this my regular beginner practice until I level up. :)
I showed up for class today. Completed just the Sun salutations. Would try my best again. Thanks a ton for putting in efforts and sharing this.
Awesome! I am familiar with the postures, but not with the Asthanga sequence. When you present the sequence slowly it is easier to follow and to memorize it.
❤❤ Thank you so much for all your videos and dedication 😊 Tried the 60 min ashtanga first, i was sore for a week 😂 Gonna keep this one in my daily routine to build some strength and come back to the hour lesson later 🫶
I love all your videos ❤ May you include more different pranayama techniques to complement our yogic practice. ☆Thanks for sharing such a beautiful energy☆ !!
I'm gonna try this. Never done Ashtanga before because I'm still a beginner (been doing yoga since 2021 but very inconsistently and big gaps in between) and I feel like it might be too chanllenging (as compared to Hatha) and I'm scared of potential injuries. Excited. Also, I keep saying this - the Liforme mats are soooo pretty, I wish I got one instead of buying another brand.
Beautiful 😍
Great work! Very informative and useful video. THANKS!
