"ki" is the reading of tree, and the prefix "oo" (usually spelled with an o with a crossbar) and read as just a long o, means large. So "Oki", or oo-ki which sounds not unlike Oak means large tree... or if you're mentally 6, big wood.

Honestly this is my favorite ERB. It sounds really good, and it gradually escalates, with the lines becoming harder each verse, they pull no punches here. You're constantly on the edge and in the end it's a pretty close call (although I think Ash won). Also the match-up is great.

Comparatively, a lot of the insults heaved at Darwin by the common man are very surface level criticisms of his theories, his racism, and his effect on the scientific community. So all in all, Ash won this contest, but not because Darwin didn't try hard enough.

First off he spent 7 years studying Barnacles in general, not just their reproductive organs. Also, Darwin's "Momma got screwed joke" fit well into the verse.

This Battle is one of the few that while still not unheard of, it is seriously underrated. It's so short you'd miss it but Man both Sides are Great. And the BGM is also Great.

The "hunched over you balls" line deserves more praise

"I've yet to catch the ghost type" This was not only a good bar, but an accurate one for most of the anime, as ash hasn't caught a ghost type until Pokemon Journeys. Haunter doesn’t count, Ash never threw a pokeball at Haunter, he just used it in a battle and left it.

It’s amazing, the things one can get away with, through a combination of “Crossing the Line Twice”, most of the participants being fictional/historical characters so it does not feel “too soon”, and how the recipients of those insults can effortlessly roll with it then fire back. The Jacques Cousteau and Steve Irwin one had a similar moment... “So run back home to your daddy's zoo! And just to be clear, 'cause I'm no veterinarian; Were you killed by a fish kids pet at the aquarium?” “Holy smokes, what a place to go! You'd need a submarine for a blow that low! (Awhh!)
