Remastered trailer for the the independent sci-fi film "Ascension" - new HD edition coming Summer 2023. In a futuristic 2057, special agent Hayes (Paul Nolan) is dispatched to an isolated research base on Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, to investigate a puzzling suicide. Once there, Hayes is stranded by a deadly storm as he tries to piece together a deep and dangerous secret.
This film has been transferred to HD with the DIY Arri 35mm system demonstrated in our recent video.

The "dust" is pretty much all stage smoke, blown and photographed in slo-mo with back lighting and gels. We shot the models in an enclosed room - the smoke was so thick you could barely see your hand in front of you. I'm hoping to have a restored version of the film later this year.
Nice. Was the film original cut on film? Or digital?

The first cut was on film, but we made quite a few changes/additions in a digital cut.
