I guess the stamina all depends on the situation and conditions. In my mind if I went for a 10 mile hike or long hard run in the heat and upon returning home a situation would arise that would require for the animal to continue to perform the necessary task to serve and protect . I personally prefer a navy seal of a dog instead of a 250lbs body builder of a dog. The intensity and power is incredible even out of these 80-100 lbs dogs. I have a puppy out of Vlad and lady smith and at 5 months that frequency/ intensity is increasing. Lee is an amazing elite breeder

I have a pup out of Vlad x Ladysmith too. He is an amazing dog so far! Perfect calm family companion but also a little monster. Lee knows what he’s doing 💯💯

American Sentinel K9, LLC, Thank you very much for uploading this video! What a dog! Not only physically, but also temperamentally: No fear, "all bite, no bark!" By the way, I used to think a dog should weigh at least 130 lbs (better 150 lbs) and up (as long as they are athletic and do not drool). However, while I still prefer the heavier dogs, your videos convinced me that lighter dogs can do the job too (it is just that heavier dogs would eliminate the threat from an attacker just by their weight alone, and as long as dogs are just companion and guard dogs, I do not think that excellent stamina is that important). Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Stamina is important when a dog is needed to perform away from home. Say you are on a walk, hike, or out in hot weather for hours and as even approaches a situation occurs. Agility and tensity trump mass. I have had both.

Been involved with protection work for 23 years, and general training for about 33. It was not one person, but dozens...and from all over the country.
