I love the ideas coming out of the community right now for these traps especially with all of these door ways. It's been helping me. Also, I've found I can still force the issue by building dinogate traps on the bottom sides of cliffs since most dinosaurs will still attack you beyond the cliff edges and fall in or if you make a traditional ramp trap on a raft it still works like in ASE.

Took ALOT of trys for a megatherium without a bear trap but it does work

The yuti just ran out of gap between the foundations, had to use gateways with doors. Their such a pain with the carnos

Did the change the dino ai from the last game becuase the traps iused in surival evolved wont work anymore

yeah, it's more difficult to lure them into traps.

I tried it with trike and it kept going around it

does it all have to be secret doorways?

Yes open every single secret doorway so they think it’s a path and they will go into it instead of around it

That didn't work. It walks right through the open ends. (meaning: I got one inside, closed all 8 doors to make the box shape, and it then walked right out down the middle that does not have a wall section)
