Great video! I use the reverse trap method of immobilize then throw down dino gates on almost everything so I was glad to see it mentioned here!

Billboards OP. For pitfall traps, I've been using a variant I saw on mgen's channel - using stone fence supports instead of doors, so you can angle them and create a bit more room for the creatures that won't 'fit' into a 1x1. Does take a bit more eyeball work to place them right though, as you can't use snap-points for it.

The gateways and gates trap is my favourite because it can be used for flyers and non-flyers.

I like the pit trap because you can use flyers to pick things up and drop them inside.

build around trap can be used a lot more efficient by building it first and then. leading a anything (e.g. Wyvern) inside and close the gate with a number pad from a safe spot ^^

I tried the billboards today and it wouldn’t work with the maewing and I couldn’t get it to work had to add a post and ceiling on top so it couldn’t fly out which was really scuffed lmao any tips lmk

The gateway trap can be preplaced you find the creature you want place the gates and one door then get the creatures aggro run into it it’ll follow then turn around place the door and run through the gap between the gates

I find that a 4×4 works for spinos and rexes just fine. I like to do a 4×4 with a a 2 or 3 wide ramp. Makes it super easy. Its a bit expensive, but If its in an area where theres good spawns its worth the cost to have a permanent trap down.

how do you get the dinos out of pitfall after taming?

I cant place structures next to Dinos, is something about the settings?

The first trap works for non starter takes too you just need metal ones

Sorry for crying for help here. I don’t know where else to go. I’m playing a single player game of Ark and I noticed that resources don’t seem to respawn anywhere. I’ve played for days and traveled half the map twice over. I googled and everything says that resources don’t respawn in single player unless I do some tricky things, plus I’m on Xbox so those may not work. Is this true? Is my single player game basically half stripped of resources already?

You can use thatch for the 'extra wall' at the end of a pitfall trap, since it's only purpose is to stop the creature from running overtop and ensuring it falls in. The rest of the trap still needs to be made of stronger stuff, though.

You should just make your own subtitles from now on lmao

Great video, but needs to be redone. Don't hardcode subs that you don't spell check. Your speech-to-text has no idea what you're saying. Ptera: use for maewings, trikes, parasaurs... Subtitles: use for making strikes, power personas...

99%... Doesn't work on any fliers.
