I totally agree! I don't think I've ever witnessed a more friendly/polite crowd than Guadalajara. In every match it seems the crowd all cheer and support BOTH players!

I was there, and the crowd was amazing

That was one hell of a power packed match. Both Sabalenka and Sakkari hitting the ball so hard and with such deep accuracy. But then again, Sakkari is a beast and will be hard to get past her.

Maria's turned into a little powerhouse; she was really pinning Sabalenka back with some of those shots. Great athleticism and movement around the court too.

It’s pleasing to the eyes to watch these two hard hitters. They look like they could beat other players with their powerful strokes but when they play against baseline grinders like Bardosa or Kontaveit they might lose.

This year’s final is the best in many years. There are so many 3 set matches, nobody retires, everyone seems so active on court and showing great fighting spirit.

Sakkari had a lot more in the tank in the third set and Sabalenka incurred way too many double faults. Great match!

Sakkari has incredible stamina. The same happened in the US Open against Bianca Andreescu, in the 3rd set Sakkari looked just as fresh as she had just started the match while Andreescu was almost fainting out of exhaustion.

What an appalling highlights video, it goes from 3-1 30-40 Sabalenka to 5-3 40-0 match point to Sakkari. That's atrocious.

I wish the WTA would develop a streaming service like the ATP. I’d love to watch full matches here in the US, but I’m not willing to pay for one-size-fits-all cable service.

Man. This match was waaaaaaaay better than I expected. What a wonderful battle. Heck of an ending.

Maria is better in controlling nerves than Aryna. The unforced errors count in this match prove that point.

What a wild match! An absolute treat to watch! The power, the angles, everything was on another level. Sabalenka needs to really improve her UEs; like she literally did 19 double faults in the match. Happy that Maria won, she deserves this!

I think that’s the price of strong/risky serves, her serves are like bullets, probably one of the hardest serves to return in the women tournament, she relies on them to get quick points but it comes with a cost

Congratulations to both Maria and Aryna! Interesting that the H2H is 4-1 for Sakkari, since Sabalenka has peaked earlier, but still, these two are the new power-players of the new and fresh generation. More than anything, I like their sportmanship (because I was really tired of all the catfights in the past generation).

MAJOR mazel tov to the city of Guadalajara for stepping in last minute and being tremendous hosts. I really think they're making a case to either keep this tournament here, or to get a major tournament in Mexico. The fans have been A-1 every match. Darren Cahill said this is the type of reception the top players deserve and I couldn't agree more. This has been an absolute joy.

Both of these ladies I enjoy immensely. But Truly enjoy watching Maria grow within her game and winning through her hard work in each of her tournament (and not fumbling with her clothes 😂).

One of the best womens matches I've seen all year!

I love Sakkari now! Discovered her soft spots this year, feisty on court but sweet off court so I became a fan! I also love Sabalenka btw.

Sakkari deserves all the good that comes her way, as she is a great scrapper. Sabalenka needs to 1. spend less time screaming and 2.Try something other than trying to kill the ball every 2nd stroke.

I thought the childish comments about screaming would be absent after this great match. Frankly I find it ridiculous that you would criticise Sabalenka for screaming when Sakkari also screams. It was a fantastic match, why not focus on that instead of hating individual tennis players?

The childish comments? you are aware that the WTA has struggled (the idea of brining in sound meters regularly pop up)with screamers since the time of Monica Seles...There is a place in all sports for grunts/groans but Sabalenka often goes well and above, a grunt/groan. (yes I found Sakkari a bit loud this match too

How can you go from 3-1 Sabalenka to match point Sakkari and not show anything in between? Great atmosphere anyway.

During the Off season, Sabalenka needs to work on her strength and stamina. She relies heavy on her serve. The serve becomes a problem when you get into too many long rallies. She double faults a lot because there is no more strength in her knees and legs.

I was shocked an amazed at Sabalenka's playing.

Kontaveit vs. Badosa definitely will be finalists. But my heart and still hope Sakkari into final against Badosa.

Compliments to both ladies, excellent match. Sabalenka was up 3-1 in the 3rd and all of a sudden she was down 3-5. I think we needed to see some of the points in there but a very good video. Someone has to teach Sabalenka to not get so down, let it go, focus on the next point.

At least Coco can make the excuse that she was only 16 with little experience. Sabalenka has no excuses for making this many double faults at this stage of her carrer... I mean, 42 double faults and 129 unforced errors in 3 matches?! That's horrible for a player who's the world #2...

They're both grunts and very intimidating in the court, while very sweet and humble in their press and interview

I just made a neutral statement when I said it’s rare for someone to win a best of 3 sets match with 19 double faults. Your logic seems to suggest that anyone who isn’t a number 1 player cannot make any non-positive comments on Barty or Djokovic.
