The sheer rationality with which she faces the interviewer is extraordinary, it's a shame majority of Indians do not respect her because her words never suited the government's propoganda and moreover exposed its lies.

So true Suyansh, I totally agree. Such a phenomenal author treated with oppression and disrespect. It's really a matter of great shame. Art and literature seem to be dying rapidly. What she writes, in fiction or non-fiction, is meaningful and stands true. She refused to be a slave to the government. I want her to live forever on earth. intellectuals like her are a ray of hope for us.

She lived up to her words. She took 20 years to settle down to write her second book.
Arundhati Roy has written only two novels, both of these are masterpieces nodoubtly. She wrote a number of profound non fiction books. As per my knowledge, after Sir V.S Naipaul no one has received such a massive welcome from the readers in both of the genres. Thanks a lot for uploading this clip 🙏

One of the most beautiful books ever written. A well crafted jewel. Her English is wondetful, orecise, creative. The structure of rhe book is so perfect. Yes, I love this book snd have read it about 10 times.
