In this video, we will configure ip-helpers, or DHCP relay to the ClearPass server to perform Device Profiling. By configuring an ip-helper on each of your VLANs, where the most logical place is your L3 boundary, ClearPass will build a database of the devices types on your network. Note that ClearPass will never respond and assign the DHCP requests, it will just consume it for profiling purposes. In a next video, we will use that information to build policies like 'put IP phones in the voice VLAN', even if they can't do any 802.1X.
