  Hello. Onboard is licensed per user, not per certificate. With EST, the user is the guest account that was created.

  Yes, you can use a wildcard certificate for ClearPass Guest Captive portal. In the Getting Started #3 video, I show how to install it.   No, if the certificate is issued by AD or another PKI/CA, there is no Onboard license needed. Only certificates issued by the ClearPass Onboard CA are subject to Onboard licensing.

  perform the factory restoration of the aruba 8320 model JL479A just like the manual, the problem I have now is that the Global Status LED is amber and I don't have a network, it won't let me enter the console, why would this problem be, what would be the solution ?   That depends on the IP Camera, the role you applied and routing/firewall settings in the rest of your network. Some cameras can only be accessed on the local network, others use mDNS to announce to other devices on the same local network, UPnP to open firewall ports (firewall needs to support that!), or stream to a cloud service that you can access from any device. It may be best to work with the camera supplier to see how the camera should work, from there find what you don't have configured in your network.

  Your client device has to trust the RootCA that issued the RADIUS certificate. If your client is joined to the domain, and you have AD Certificate Services installed/configured, and the RADIUS is issued as well by that CA, then I believe there is a default group policy that installs the Root CA on domain joined computers. Bottom line, group policy is the easiest method to get (additional) root CAs on domain joined computers. It's easy to check, just see if the root is installed on your clients. If not, create a GPO to install (any) root CA.

  Have you tried what the message indicates: please upgrade again (to the same version) and reboot the controller? Please be advised that 8.7 is end-of-support; moving to 8.10.may be better if there are no reasons to stick on 8.7. Did you know the Airheads Community? There you can ask such questions and have a much broader audience of people that can help.

  When I disconnect from the guest Wi-Fi network and reconnect, I get the authentication portal screen. However, while the device is still valid in the MAC authentication, is there a way to prevent this portal from appearing for connection until the MAC authentication has expired?
