Bivol, another Russian champion LHW, recently said "you cannot fight Beterbiev" - meaning you must outbox him. Marcus Browne just(Dec 2021) got beat up by Beterbiev. Beterbiev was loosing blood for five rounds with a deep forehead cut. He explained in the Presser afterwards that fighting a Southpaw with blood in you right eye is hard. But he made it look like another day beating up sparing partners. He made Browne quit, and he was not even puffing. A Chechen Muslim from Dagestan.

Beterbiev is a monster, he’s a brutal puncher , every punch he throws has a sickening thud to it.

i love how he pressures the other fighter into throwing/wasting punches meanwhile he is calm and doesn't waste anything every shot he throws counts amazing!!!

Out of that group, I can see Bivol possibly pulling off an upset. He's defensive minded, which one would have to be when boxing Artur. He (Dmitry) has solid footwork, ring iq, solid high guard, and enough pop in his shots to keep Artur from (consistently) rushing in. Bivol also has something you need when fighting a guy like Beterbiev, endurance. I think it would obviously be a tough task, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bivol did pull it off, if they ever get in the ring.

The other guy disappointed the fight was stopped. Ref saved you from getting put straight to sleep by Beterbiev

When Andre Ward saw this he knew the writing was on the wall and decided to retire at 32/33. He didn't want to face Beterbiev who was going to be his mandatory. No matter what he says to the public he knows deep down that he ducked Beterbiev. His hugging, grappling, and wrestling moves in the clinch would not have worked on Beterbiev who has this tremendous short range punch power. Prieto is a very durable fighter and stood no chance against Artur's Mountain strength from Chechnya.

His punches have a weird timing as if he's delivering the punch while the opponent is winding his punch he's extremely quick 😳

Very unique punching style it is like a whip with the right but coming from high and over rather than lateral/horizontal. Must be hard to see coming

Bertebiev would walk through Canelo's punches, absorb them and eventually get the stoppage. He punches quite hard, even though he doesn't swing them. I don't see Canelo get past Bertebiev, like he always has with other opponents.
