Yep, a regular occurence. I usually fire ap rounds in my t92 just for the memes and I probably get on just over 1 pen per 2 games. They nerfed the 183 guns but artillery still has more alpha and literally no way that you as a tank can deal any damage back to them until the end of the game where the enemy team fail.

Arty is why I dont play WWII, now I prefer true vision and see spotting mechanics as a crutch for bad players…

Most artillery are so slow that players have not got any Other option other than to camp close to the start point.

As a arty player I would not mind a damage reduction if we got support ammo like smoke or napalm to make hazards or temporary cover for team mates. As for premium rounds I've always wanted them removed because they are a huge waste of money because of how inaccurate they are (from my testing in German arty). Personally when I play as other tanks I find it much more frustrating dieing by a light tank then arty because light tanks are the John Wick of tanks they are so infuriating to deal with.

If moden is actually any good we will all see how many players stick two ww2 or choose to play arty free games in the new mode. When your game will be 7v7 and 3 of them are arty and you have to wait 5 mins to get a game I'm sure the arty players will soon be crying for something to be done.

What console is this recorded on and what year 😂😂😂 arty on xbox one in 2021 only deals 800 damage unless you get extreamly lucky and hit an ammo rack which is very rare for me

its sad that arty even exist in the game, its just broken and dull gameplay for people without actual skill. On the other hand, because of the arty, i started playing light tanks a few years ago and enjoying it, primarily to kill pigs as soon as possible in their camping shitboxes.

3 ways to make arty balanced: 1. Remove 2. Make them Insta spotted no matter what when they fire, even if there’s no one near them 3. Make them all spawn in with 1 hp

I'm fine with artillery being in the game but it needs to be wildly inaccurate...this isn't modern tech we are talking about with laser guided missiles...

Btw, they've stealth nerfed arty is what I've noticed. Not that it changes people's opinions about artillery. No one likes being bombed without the ability to retaliate. That's a fundamental aspect of gaming, being able to do something about something done to you.

Artillery is balanced because you can counter it by going stealth Moving side to side or by Hiding in cover

Honestly artillery is useless today. And artillery used to be powerful somewhat when it hit. Today however it's just a waste of space. Never does any damage, never hits anything and in general the fact that players see that artillery is aiming at you just makes is so pointless of a class to have

Limit pen to a max of 55mm, which is, think, 5mm less then the roof armor thickness of the Type 5 Heavy. Each tier going down drops in pen based on the thickest roof armor at each tier. Also how splash damage works needs to be fixed as well.

Balancing arty is tricky and I think it needs to focus on getting arty players to actually think rather than just sitting at the back of the map for the whole game. Reduce firing range by like 35-40% and make the shell arcs more horizontal so that they are played more like derp gun TD's that can fire over small obstacles. The idea is to make arty more vulnerable to getting spotted, reduce one-shot kills to weak engine decks, make splash radius more important, and make ammo choice more important.

Yeah, it's super annoying mechanic. I think It primarily doesn't work as intended because people who push are the ones getting spotted so the argument for it being anti camp really isn't very true for the most part. I also think like you say is the fact artillery doesn't have any weakness other than the enemy arty counter battering but that rarely happens. Maybe having a mechanic whereby when arty fires they get spotted or revealed on the map may improve the counter battery and therefore make artillery move more.

You forget arty are also a 1 shot from most tanks on enemy team and now arty doesn't 1 shot unless its AP and that rarely hits so id go as far as saying its balanced. No one likes being taken out by arty hence the hate but reducing firing range or flattening the arc is overkill and only helps those that bound out into a fight and cant use cover

@@EcliipseHD Yeah considering how OP you can make your tanks camo rating now post 6.0, saying arty is 'anti-camp' is just blatantly not true. Assuming any camper using camo has half a brain, they're going to use 6th sense and they are going to move the moment they are spotted and disappear long before arty can actually aim in on their location. There needs to be some sort of in-game explanation of what counter-battery is and how to do it. It's not hard if you know how to lock the gun and use the "go to sector" function, but a lot of people don't know how to do it because it's not explained, even among T10 players. Even with counter battery though, it's still kinda broken. At T10, Arty is just a tactical nuke dice-roll with the T92 and Conqueror, and on the flip side you have the Obj. 261 which can reliably snipe with AP post 6.0.

@@blastermann3756 The problem is that getting taken out by arty is unpreventable in certain situations. Mainly superheavies on wide open maps. Right now there is literally no reason to play slow superheavies because you will get nuked by arty long before any of your light tanks have a chance to even spot the artillery. Your armor doesn't matter when you are having shells dropped onto your weak roof, and it also means that when you 'build' your slow superheavy, you have two choices: do an anti-arty build, or do any other build and hope to god there is no arty or that you play on Himmelsdorf. It's not really a lot of fun to play a tank where there is just one viable build because of the high probability you will be attacked by tanks you cannot see or protect yourself from. Even with anti-arty builds, your still gonna get vaporized if there is more than one arty in the game. By limiting how artillery can fire and the line of sights it can use, you make it a lot trickier for arty to just stay unspotted for over half the game and you make heavy tank armor more effective at taking hits from arty. You would probably have to buff arty's HP or armor, but that's not a big deal if it balances the play style of the class.

Thing is, now more than ever my own team disregard light tanks hauling ass into our base and arty get lit up quickly and with a 30 sec reload and glass armor half the matches are ended in first few mins with arty unless we have a decent spawn at the start and not too close to cap circle area. I still see your points but there are a lot of downsides playing arty too which personally i think negate the need for a nerf. It isnt like we can 1 shot heavies every time either usually its just a track or minimal damage and thats just me and i can lead my shots really accurately

Just take premium away from the clickers, they'll still be annoying, but to a much lesser extent.

It’s the reason I only really enjoy playing high camo tanks because arty sucks. It’s extremely frustrating trying to play a heavy, let alone super heavy, because arty will just harass you and kill you the whole game.

Artillery is unfair and broken.

I disagree as well. These shots are so grouped together it's as if they were intentionally parked together and the premium rng just so happened to splash in his favor. I've waited 33 seconds with consumables enabled full equipment and 9 perk commander with dots about as close as they can get to each other and the round hits the tank and does about 200 dmg

Life is hard, isn't it? 🙄 The very fact that arty is "death from a distance" emphasizes exactly why super-fast light tanks need to learn to recon (to scout) and find the enemy's arty, report its position and request fire support (spotting), and to then engage the arty and attempt to take it out (neutralize the threat). Bitching about how "unfair" the game is won't help a damn thing! Learning how to actually play the game with some semblance of a clue might just help a lot!

Wot is a realistic war game, artillery was a weapon used in war, get over it

Here's the deal, I like arty. You'll accept a death star or shite barn or even a jag panz e100 hitting you for 1000 plus damage. Struggle to kill it especially in the jag panzer case, but you'll cry like baby's if an artillery hits you for 1000 plus every 30 seconds or so and that's if it connects and pens. Yet they have no armour and 9 times out of 10 get slayed by a light tank going balls deep? I don't get the arty hate at all. Since 6.0 I have only hit 1 yes that's 1 shot that has done more than 1k damage in my M55. Pre 6.0 I'd hit 2 or 3 a game no problem. You'll all play sniper mode on cod or some other pants fps and think your cool as Chris Ryan, but god forbid playing sniper on WOT!

Yes, arty is broken, even the splash is 400-500 plus, when conects 800+ or one shot, with 30s reload on the site of the map, if u get hit by any TD for 1000+ is u mistake or good move by the TD player

God forbid they bring in armoured cars. I've played the game since day 1. I've played every class at every tier, there's nothing wrong with arty, you just need to know how to defend against it.

I agree. Play on pc where the arty is awful. Its just hull down tanks everywhere that you cant get rid of spamming prem ammo. Also they nerfed HE so you cant chip away at them either. So its play a hull down tank with no turret weakpoints or go somewhere else. Not fun. They gave you enough tools with the incoming shell noise and indicator. If you're still getting hit after all that it's your fault

Arty is a part of the game. The whole idea of the game is uncertainty ie (RNG). Why moan about it ? Be a man an get on with it and move on (After shouting some choice words at the TV) Let's do another poll , as men do we evaluate and conquer or moan like girls?

I don’t get artillery hate. Just went over my game log: Malinovka: no arty in top 5 in either team (out of 2) Mines: no arty in top 5 in either team (out of 2) Abbey: no arty in top 5 (equalizer was last) Prokhorovka: no arty in top 5 (out of 2) Artic region: one arty per team in top 5, out of 4 Kasserine: one arty per team in top 5, out of 4. Highway: no arty in top 5, M12 were 13 and 15 in the teams Pilsen: one arty in top 5 out of 4 total Mountain Pas: no arty in top 5 out of 4 total. Artillery is not overpowered any more than the Hellcat 105 is invincible. That’s 9 games with a total of 5 artillery in the top 5 out of a possible 26 artillery pieces. That was my math today. Does not seem overpowering to me. I decided to take out my tier 9 French arty. I came in 4th and a T92 ham came in 3 in other team, out of 4 in the game. That’s 10 games with only 7 total artillery in the top 5 of either team out a total of 30 artillery pieces. Not broken. Cry me a River and don’t camp, because I’ll get you there.

makes me laugh u lot moaning about artillery, saying it needs a nerf 😂 saying how unskilled players are to run them, not true most skilled players are bored of running the same the crap tanks over n over on tediously boring maps, playing noobs who just drive into shots, u say arty camps at the back of the map well with crap hp what do u expect they aren't for front line battle they are support tanks, providing covering fire as the heavies push forward. maybe wargaming should remove auto aim aka auto lock on and then let's see how good u players really are, so reliant on one thing, there is no skill in this game no more, ppl always calling for nerfs wot console is screwed up enough as it is without ppl moaning n complaining about stuff, the only thing I will say is that needs to be reduced is the splash damage on say the t92, before the new perks came out it use to take up to 1min to fire now as far as I remember it takes 30secs give it take for the 53/55 to fire one round which is great compared to before

I don't think they are overpowered just the mechanic is broken. It's the ability to rng one shot someone with very little skill required irrelevant of the skill of the opponent in a position where you don't get attacked until late game or sometimes never if your team wins. I've played over 1k games in the t92 and I can safely say its premium he is disgusting. The clip I'm the short at the end shows you I didn't pen but still splash someone next to the tank I hit for 1k damage. Literally wasn't even aiming there. There are the times where you miss making dpm awful and the ability to carry almost impossible, they aren't competitive and aren't gonna solely win you a game but they can ruin someone's game on the enemy team irrespective of their skill level, plus often the campers are the ones that don't get spotted and those who push are the ones artillery hit because they are the only one spotted. If they wanna be support mechanics wging would be better of reducing total alpha and splash and then buffing the ability to track tanks, no stun but track and maybe give them new rounds. They won't do anything with them now anyway, would take too much time and they aren't gonna make any money from that.

@@EcliipseHD rng in arty is awful, half of the shots aimed at stuff doesn't hit I've found that too tbf, the splash on the t92 is really bad I agree I've seen the clip but sometimes that just happens sometimes u get lucky hitting those 1 shots but majority of times u either miss or Low roll, I've hit tanks that aren't even spotted on the map as u get to know where tanks are just camping or u see trees or whatnot being knocked down, I know there's a bombardier medal also for knocking 2 tanks out with the arty so reducing alpha and waiting for team to reduce them to nothing is no fun, I haven't seen many ppl destroy the jgpz e 100 tho in one hit that's a rare occasion, I don't think completely reducing alpha is the way forward but decreasing splash is a definite problem, I think an arty can sometimes change the game in some teams advantage for sure but only if u have spotters actually spotting, I agree we should be able to track tanks but not all the time if I hit a tank on its hatch I don't expect a tank to be tracked, if I hit the tracks then yes or off splash, for new players I would say sit back s little if you see someone has been hit by artillery why would u push forward ? make sure u have 6th sense this is a must for any player. wargaming has ruined the game in my opinion with to many premium tanks in the game, every season pass u get free premiums, u get them off the keycards they can't give them away quick enough bring bk the days when we had to grind out for the motherland those days were good but now it's ott p2w everyone spamming gold rounds

@@lordd0ngur18 I think the premium ammo that’s adds splash damage should be lowered from how far you are from the shell but arty is one of the hardest lines to get to 10

So? You sit in the spot waiting for the arty shell? That was not op. If he had been less stationary more than likely would have been light splash damage not direct hit. And really whos fault is it if you group up like those dweebs and all three get splashed. That was also pre 6.0 clip. Stop hating for no reason. Or just create a game where you do not need map awareness and it doesn't matter if you park in the middle of a field. Oh daddy why did he shoot me wahhhhh. 🤣🤣

Umm it tells you the exact shell travel time it’s not hard to lead. And you need to aim in a tank so you must stop for at lest 2 seconds to aim

Typicall braindead arty player... Less stationary in a e100 or jagru🤡 Btw What they did there is called brawling, that's what heavys are supposed to do. There is nothing those heavys could have done to avoid the arty shell except for camping somewhere in the back to not get spotted 🐒
