One way Wargaming could nerf this tank would be to limit it to tier 10 games only. It wouldn't solve all problems, but it would be something. Because tier 8 vehicles shouldn't have to face the 279e in battle.

Only player that doesnt own chief or 279 would say something like that. They all are tanks, there are bad players and good players. Tanks are just tanks, if a bad player plays 279 they would do 2k dpg, never the less QB is average player his 279 dpg is around 2/3k

Even since the fact that you got it on the OP 279, which automatically makes the achievement less impressive, it is still a great feat and I have to say congratulations.

Almost everyone plays almost full gold at tier X, myself included. Why wouldn't he? Not shooting gold in tier X tanks has become a disadvantage.

​@@lioncattc4260 You can't play a T10 heavy optimally and only shoot AP. Even if you aim perfectly, you will bounce because of rng. There are tanks that don't need gold, but if you go against the strongest enemies on a T10 heavy, you will need gold if the enemy plays properly.

Can QB or someone explain to me overmatching? I’ve played for 10 years and I understand higher caliber guns such as 120mm and 150’s can overmatch side scrapes or tracks. Or sometimes spaced armor. But how do you know? What armor values do you look at to recognize if you can do this? Great video by the way. I love my 279. Congratulations on your record!

I think I’d have kept quiet about that. 10k in that tank is like 5k in tech tree tanks.

My highest damage game was in a t32 when i was grinding for the m103. 8.5+dmg I think

I don't have the 279 but the interesting point of doing missions are they i Will get an op tank

As the crappy player i am, when the WT-100 came out it was crazy unbalanced and i managed a 14400 game in it, and felt really filthy afterwards.

Nice, i m a peasent, i got over 10k in e5 , in the nerf state aswell, before the new equipment .Anyway very nice game, this tank is a trully bully .

i like the tank 279 e, but i hate the tank

I don't mind this tank as much in the game as long as mm gives one to both teams. Same with chieftain. But if that doesn't happen, yes its a terrible playing experience, and very unfair. And also only 1 of each per match on the team. Having the 279e as a reward definitely keeps everyone hooked Into playing the to achieve it. But that said, I'm also very happy when I don't see either tank in the match at all.

You should aim for ten thousand damage with the chieftain great T-10 British heavy tank. Gun depression of 10° solid sloped turret. Great punch on its standard rounds.

I think it would be ok tank if the mobility and hull traverse was nerfed. Its the mobility that really makes it toxic. There are other heavily armored tanks that are not as op because its hard to get around in them. How ever i dont see wg ever chanching it. I think they will just introduce a premium tier 10 that eclipses the 279e, that can only be bought in a auction you can participate in by buying 1000 lootboxes for 200000€.

The MM needs fixed. Any team that has a Chieftain or the 279e, needs to have the same on the other team, or no match. The MM made wheelies even, and arty, so why not these? Any that was a great game, and great content as always.

There are a series of campaign missions that get progressively more difficult. The last of 4 will get you the 279(e), but it's incredibly difficult to achieve.
