    Lots of great inspiration! I can't wait to try some of this out. Just one caveat: using embedded text in images (flash cards) or gifs will put up more hurdles for learners with vision impairments, and makes translating the course harder.

    Appreciate all the work you put into this. Have used Canva but didn't know about the cinemagraphs. Great for grabbing attention. I would stay away from attaching navigation meaning to colors, and that makes the learning not accessible to all.

    Eep! Ditto. We've never been able to find specific dimensions online as Rise is responsive so there is no real "right" size. We tend to use 2500x1406px for our full width images.

    Hi, great video and some great tips. I have just been playing at creating my own divider, but it looks huge still (just like an image). I made in on PP as don't have Illustrator. How did you get the pic to be narrow enough to look like a divider? Thank you.

    Our pleasure. Thanks for choosing to learn with us. Hmmm.. we learnt something recently but haven't had a chance to experiment yet. Put '_NOPROCESS_' in the file name of your gif. Quantity it won't try to resize it then (assuming you have it large already, like 1024 in width at least).💙💜

    Thanks for choosing to learn with us. Ooohh, you know what? It could be your screen that's displaying it that way (if the gif background is white and the Rise background is white. i.e. the same hex colours). Try publishing it and reviewing it on a different device to see if that is the case as a first step. 💙💜

    Hi how are you able to export your gif at such high quality from vend? Mine seems to look pixelated when imported

  • @BelvistaStudios

    @BelvistaStudios

    Жыл бұрын

    Tips on image parameters: We're finding 1920px x 1080px is working best so far. If your images look nice and crisp when downloaded but look blurry when uploaded to Rise, try adding '_NOPROCESS_' at the beginning or end of the image file name. This stops Rise from compressing the image. Note that this may increase the file size and it also may not work for labelled graphics (labelled graphics must be at least 760px wide so Rise will automatically make them bigger if needed). Basically, go as big as possible on the image your exporting, not exporting at the size you would like it to show at.

    @@BelvistaStudios an expandable dropdown arrow titled: "image description" that expands and describes the image might be ok (below the image) . That being said articulate rise is just so limited there aren't much options and adding gfis that give out actual learning information is more of a hack that aims to give you or replace something that is missing from the core featrues of rise. Obviously having gifs to showcase valualble information or even navigation should be a no go in any learning solution out there but that is what we are reduced to in rise. Not any designer/users fault, we do the best with what we have.
