What filter is being used on the images of people? Or how was this achieved?
From memory, it's a 'mosaic' or 'pixel' filter in Canva. xox
Where r u from?????🙃
Wow, absolutely excellent video. I was looking for a video for ideas for Advanced Rise Techniques and you provided so many good examples and options.
AMAZING! Thanks so much for sharing what you appreciated. Thanks also for choosing to learn with us. xox
Kim, you and I have the same brain when it comes to writing! A blank page is so daunting, and having a process to put the ideas into writing is helpful. Especially when writing about soft skills since they can be broad topics.
Awww... So grateful for your comment! Thanks for choosing to learn with us. xox
Your voice is a litttle quiet ?
Very clever! Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome! Thanks for choosing to learn with us. xox
This is so valuable! 🎉
The gifs look awesome but the text is embeded in them so this is a nightmare for translation and accesesibility unforutnately
🙏🙏🏾🙏🏼 😉 What ideas come to mind about how me might have approached accessibility?
@@BelvistaStudios an expandable dropdown arrow titled: "image description" that expands and describes the image might be ok (below the image) . That being said articulate rise is just so limited there aren't much options and adding gfis that give out actual learning information is more of a hack that aims to give you or replace something that is missing from the core featrues of rise. Obviously having gifs to showcase valualble information or even navigation should be a no go in any learning solution out there but that is what we are reduced to in rise. Not any designer/users fault, we do the best with what we have.
Nice thinking. Alt text is also a good option. @@boyananakiev4896
I gave one practice test but failed can I give another practice test?
😊 Hey there. We specialise in conducting user testing with our clients. Maybe you could find some forums online or speak to the user testing company directly for support? 😊
yes, you can
Lack of Good quality directed feedback in formative tests to build knowledge and ability to apply that knowledge
Good one! Thanks for sharing Ian! 👏😊
Hey hope you're doing well I Gave my test yesterday and today when I open the usertesting app my profile was nowhere to be seen so that means I have to log in again an for that I forgot my password so I applied for reset password link , but when I was trying to change the password it always shows "solve the field Enter a password". I tried multiple times like more then 40 times still no there was no changes in it , and the support system was too much dump to solve it , they keeps on sending me I'd tickets Please guide me through it 🙏
😊 Hey there. We specialise in conducting user testing with our clients. We do not do this through an app. Maybe you could find some forums online or speak to the user testing app company directly for support? 😊
This was a beautiful surprise. Thank you for such kind, beautiful words! To be spoken into the same sentence as David Carson is incredibly special. Kim you inspire me everyday. Thank you for being you, a powerful and true individual 🤍
😍 We love you Jorjie! You inspire us so much! 🌈
All truth, Jorjie, as experienced and witnessed in reality. Thanks for the love back. I'm very flattered to be recognised as 'a powerful and true individual' by you. Kim xox
You win!
🙏
Cute + awesome + humorous = "cusomorous" aka THIS! 😍👏🤣💙
🤣🤣 LOVE THAT JAMES! A new word we will definitely be utilising in our team. #legend
I love this so much 😂❤
We love you so much. 💙💜
I forgot how great your videos are! I'm considering effective communication for project managers in the construction industry. It's one thing to say what should be said, but another to give explicit models reworking what's often said!
🎉 Yay! We are so glad that you got value from the video Rachael. The more practical the better right? 😉😊
I was at very confusing state of my life right now regarding my career in instrctional design and after watching your vedio I am now feeling good to take my decision.
This makes us so happy! We are glad we could help you out. 😊
Thanks Belvista Studios / Hannah, this is something many aspiring Instructional Designers (and those who find themselves doing the work of IDs unexpectedly 😉) need to understand and think about on the regular. SO helpful that you've spelled out the hows of User Personas on your channel. 💎
Thanks James! Always grateful for your support! 😊😍
Hysterically funny meeting! Seriously thanks for the shout out, it's great to be able to brighten your team's day. Also great - Hannah's advice about bringing in the wisdom of the room around you. I actually commented on a LinkedIn post recently about how to get grounded when you feel unfocused. Maybe this will resonate with Victoria! "One thing I try to remember when I speak is how I hope to help people, maybe provide a little inspiration, maybe share a solution they haven't thought of, and that takes my attention off me (and my nerves or my "don't forget to say" list 😉) and puts it on my audience. Calms me down and warms me up every time. Similar to my acting days - if I felt my focus turning inwards and slipping, I'd quickly shift mental gears into hard listening mode. Once I was really focused on another actor and really in the moment again, clarity and calm would return. Kinda like catching a racecar when the rear wheels start to snap loose! 🤣🏁" But best advice is to remember it's okay not to know something AND give yourself a moment to go within and discover what you DO think. To do that you need to be unafraid of silence and be calm with yourself. Very interesting discussion about knowledge and ability. Great to listen in. I'm sure lots of listeners wished they could be in the room like me! Lots of great topics today, thanks for sharing. #alwaysbelearning #staycurious 👏👏👏
We are very grateful for you James! The shoutout was well-deserved. 💙💜 Yes! Using the wisdom around the room is so valuable. Everyone has value to bring, so why not harness it and give the person everything they can get in the moment. One person's comment could change the way they do things or inspire them, the possibilities are endless. ✨ LOVE your advice James. Thanks so much for sharing. We agree it's about the other person... listening and silence is GOLDEN! 💛
I really appreciate your team sharing your knowledge and experience. I've now gone from clinical nurse educator to ID. Your resources have truely helped.
😊💜 Our pleasure....and WOW congratulations on your job achievement. That's amazing! 🎉
Shout out to Kim, Hannah & Victoria for keeping it real and doing what you do. Earl Grey cuz I'm pretentious. 😏
Thanks James! Right back at ya! Loveeeee the tea choice. 🤣
Hmm. Thinking now about AI a bit like a template provider you might have purchased content from in the past... 'Enjoying your insightful YT Shorts @belvistastudios. Keep 'em coming! 👍
Great advice!👍
So dumb things down to a 5th grade level? You have such low expectations for everybody.
yeah BUTTT it can take a while before you get choosen. hundreds of folks apply too. you can go a long time before you actually get pick.
I do this at the end of every work week- where I make notes of what I accomplished, what went well and what could have been better in that week. This gives me clarity to make different decisions in the next week.
Love this Veronica! 😊 Such a valuable exercise that would supercharge your impact on the world. 🚀
No demonstrations? Just talking? Not very helpful
I'm watching this on a plane right now and I enjoyed several of the topics discussed today, such as the value of reverse engineering learning content and humanizing it by converting it into scenarios that feel integral to the learner's day-to-day experience; telling learner stories with images, facial/body expressions and other non-verbal cues; and living intentionally to minimize feelings of regret in one's life. Thanks for keeping me company and giving me fun things to contemplate from the confines of seat 23D! 🤝
Could you just share a worked out spreadsheet?
Definitely. Here's where to start the process for yourself: creatorhub.belvistastudios.com/collections/coaching It's recommended that you look into the one-on-one coaching (3-sessions), as a minimum to get your spreadsheet personalised to you.
What is the point of this almost 45min video talking about the newspaper design/idea without 1. Showing the final product and then 2. Doing a FULL tutorial of how to reproduce the same. Smh. That probably would have been a 10 minute video max and would have been ×10 more valuable! Smh.
Hey, Thanks for choosing to watch the video. Did you know that you can skip through and to parts of the video to see if it has what you desire? Google will help you if you don't know how to do this. Kim :)
Your content is always packed with useful and very applicable tips, Belvista Studios! Thank you!
For the Dot Points (8m16s) accordion segment, how did you get lists for "the good" and "the bad" to auto-play? Was there a special way you published or designed this in Vyond?
These are GIFs. We created them in Canva and uploaded the GID to Rise. :)
This is such a FIRE episode! ❤🔥
I’ve seen a lot of Rise/AS videos but this one is the most creative one yet. Thanks for the ideas!!
Wow! Thank you so much for your flattering words and for choosing to learn with us. 💙💜
If you were going to the disco, you wouldn't be taking your pet with you, you could instead have a pitstop to drop your pet at a Uber "pet care" for the amount of hours you're away dancing,
🤩 This is a great idea!
well done Hannah
Thanks Artem! I hope it added value to you! 😍
Thank you Hannah and John! Great video and very sound advice about adding value rather than asking for favours! Could you give some practical way I could value as a new comer trying to break into the industry? (There I am asking for stuff again!😅)
Hey Robin! Glad it added value to you! As a new-comer breaking into the industry, I bet you are learning new things everyday (just like you did from this video). Share your learnings/perspective on your learnings with others (in-person, LinkedIn, blogs, etc.)! For example, 'Today I watched X video and learnt X. Thought it might add value for others to know/try it out too.'
Aussie Aussie Aussie
Plzz help me 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I am approved for user testing. And I also had all the requirements. I completed all the lessons. But I do not get any test from 25 days . I had not also gotten my first test
Can you follow up? Reflective question: What is your responsibility to get the outcome you want to achieve?
I don't understand. Can you please make me understand?
@@amazingcraft6818 what is the one thing you want from the user testing situation?
@@BelvistaStudios some money for my personal expenses. And new experience.

This was great. As someone who is pivoting my career form trainer to hybrid LD specialist I learned a lot from this talk.
AMAZING! Thanks for sharing its impact and for choosing to learn with us.
Thank you Belvista Studios and Kim Tuohy for inviting me to be a guest on your inspiring and always thought/learning-provoking show! It was such a pleasure to be asked such insightful questions and to spend an hour unpacking the "whys" - especially why we both love doing what we do in the Learning space. 💙👏🤝
Our pleasure, James. Thanks for contributing to the always thought/learning-provoking show by being the star! What you recognise is passion and purpose aligned: congrats to you on creating this for yourself. It's why the alignment is so magic. :)
Only if we could hear her better
Thanks for sharing - the open and honest way the Belvista Team shares information and explains the tools of the trade, actually helped me take the step into the world of ID - so thank you. It also made me smile as you are up in Brissy and I am on the Gold Coast - home grown heroes!
AMAZING! Thanks for sharing its impact and for choosing to learn with us. So stoked it's helped on your journey. Super stoked you're getting value from us being us. Aussi, Aussi, Aussi! Haha
Such an incredible episode! Kim and Jorjie, you are absolute fire together! Jorjie you are so talented and I am so happy I got to see you do your thing live! 🌈🌈🌈
Thank you Hannah! It was so much fun strategising and visualising Kims personal brand! 🌈💚
Brilliant. I can't think of a more important topic. Well-done! Thank you Belvista Studios, Kim & especially Jorjie! 💙
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE, JAMES! Always. This episode is sooo great to help people think through what they're about and how they might be appreciated for that in a career. Jorjie's got her 10,000 hours in and it shows in how effectively she can make the links to what I tell her and what she creates in a mood board for me in this role play. Enjoy and we want to hear how this exercise goes for you and your new business! EXCITING!! P.S. Your episode is next. xox
@@BelvistaStudios Always - right back atcha! 😎 I look forward to applying these principles. And YAY I'm next!! 😁
Thank you so much James!
Thank you so much for the wonderful course design.
Really useful! I have a discovery session coming up on requested training centered around cultural change. Practice and may be a key element in the design ❤
That sounds so cool! I hope it went well and you're having the impact you desire. Thanks for choosing to learn with us and for your kind words. Kim :)

I'm so happy I found this channel. This video is underated... I'm entering the field and wanted to do something different than the branching scenarios that I see showcased on portfolios now... Pleaseeeee do more videos like this... Kudos to Brian... This is what eLearning is about
