Your theory of history is very well told; I think it's one of the best. As a curious fact, I want to tell you that the Spanish translation is one of the worst-it's half in Spanish and half in Portuguese or both mixed at times. At the end, Robert tells Yuri, "Why go to Italy with you when we can go to Miami instead?" and she responds, "Is it because you want to see me in a swimsuit?" Robert answers, "Or maybe even a little more." There's no doubt that it's the strangest story in all of SNK.

I think it says a lot about the creator of AoF/ street fighter where he made the Ken be just as important as the ryu when going to snk, when in street fighter ken realistically should have been dropped decades ago but he’s more popular than ryu with casuals so that’s the only reason he’s relevant.

That's honestly a really cool part of it, and its rare you see the 'rich sidekick' type be the central focus of a story. It feels very refreshing coming from the same old Ryu stories while Ken just dicks around on the sidelines. Wish more games gave spotlight to that character archetype.

It was a welcome surprise when I found out that an AOF3 track got remixed for KOF 15!!

Art of fighting not being great... Oh my... Art of fighting was huge on my country and transform the fighting games forever with the introduction of Super moves (desperate moves) and the game also become part of our pop culture. 🤨

Honestly after this video, all I can do is agree and repeat your sentiment. Rock the *fuck* on, Robert Garcia.

You did an amazing job with this. Robert is my all time favorite fighting game character and is my original inspiration for training in karate. I also focus on kicks like he does lol! You left out one thing though, I’m pretty sure Robert defeated Ryo right before facing Wyler. Regardless your video is epic and if you could manage to somehow do another Robert vid that’d be great.

Actually, Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting would be good as movie adaptations. KOF on the other hand would be good as a series because of all the characters to explore.

There is an Art of Fighting anime OVA. It's fucking terrible. The two Fatal Fury OVA's and movie are quite good though, roughly on Street Fighter II the animated movie's level.

I LOVE Art of Fighting. I owned the very first one on SNES back in 1992. 😵‍💫God, that was 30 years ago. I'm getting old.

I saw this game the other day and I think it's the first AOF game that I actually wanted to play. Didn't get into 1 or 2 so I wrote off 3. It's pretty good.

Robert has always been my favorite shoto in fighting games.

Art of Fighting 2 looked absolutely next-gen back in the day, i had to go to the neighbor town just to play Neo-Geo machine with it.

AOF3 was GREAT i loved this game, i loved how it was unique and distinctive from other fighting games, the gameplay was awesome, graphically was stuning, and i do think it does have some good tracks (not all of them , but some are quite good) this game was soooooooooooo deserving more attention.

18:10 was the best speech ever accompanied with the great ending song afterwards Great one

Hey man I just own the game Neo Geo CD and I never understood this freaking game. A lot of is that I think it was unfinished like the game is actually unfinished.

Loved Art of fighting 2 more than any Fatal Fury games.

Have this on neo geo cd and ps2 compilation. Special move on the characters birthday will win the round

I mean aof2 soy sauce for geese is my favorite version tbh there’s is like a slow 40 second start up but it’s worth it imo
