They set it up for us to obviously see he was one of, if not both of their father. If they scrapped it at the last minute what a shame. All the clues are there. Something in Terry's soul made him try to save Geese. Geese probably realized a white guy this strong had to have his blood, put two and two together, and decided he rather die than face the truth of the situation. "I have just been beaten by my bastard son, who I have been enemies with since I killed my fellow apprentice and his adoptive father." (Or real father if their mom messed with Jeff first and then Geese, as often does happen in Japanese stories. 2 rivals, one girl theory.)

@@DeWente69 You make a good point. I never thought of Geese also being Terry's father, which would make Terry the brother of Rock. Let us consider that Rock sees Terry as a father figure lol.

I always thought Jeff was of Chinese heritage, since he is usually seen in a kung-fu outfit. Another connection to Andy and Geese is they both are drawn to Japanese culture.

I agree on this theory. If Vergil in DMC can have a kid just randomly outta nowhere we dunno how many seeds Geese actually had over the years. This is the reason why I like the Fatal Fury ova that scene with master Tung fu is great shows how Andy an emotional man cannot be trusted with the technique like Geese. Also Andy is pretty much the Vegeta very powerful, but always 2nd.

My guess is that Terry has the looks if his mother while Andy has the father's? Just putting my own experience since me and my older brother is like that, his looks is from our mom while I look like our dad.

Mai wondered if she had something like that inside of her, I've wondered what her EX personality would be like. Blue Mary became a dominatrix, and Billy Kane became a reformed man. This video is great because even if someone thinks you’re out of your mind, you know SNK would totally pull some shit like this. And it wouldn’t even be unreasonable because Geese would absolutely be that much of an asshole.

Damn, Andy has the potential to be one of Snk's greatest villains, his backstory fits a lot with a villain's origin and his similarities to Geese are huge, it would be interesting to see Andy transform into someone similar to Geese, the man who he hated and swore revenge.

Personally, I'm fine with the idea that the only reason Terry and Andy are both adopted is that it makes their circumstances when Jeff is killed even lower. They were already orphans before Jeff, and after their sole caretaker is murdered they'd have no one but each other in their lives, and also no one else to turn to that might set them back on the path of a normal life. The question of who their parents are...just doesn't matter. Unlike the obsession with lineage that underlines many fictional characters, and the power that comes with it, Terry and Andy just became strong because they had to. They were strong because they needed to be to accomplish their goals, not because they actually belonged to an ancient clan, or had incredible fighting abilities passed down through their bloodline. They're not Kusanagis or Yagamis, or Howards for that matter, they're not Mishimas, they don't have Orochi blood, or the Devil Gene, or ancient treasures. They're just Terry and Andy Bogard, and they really wanted to beat the shit out of Geese Howard. Also, I always thought the Senpuuken was way too goofy to be Hakkyoukuseiken's ultimate secret technique. The fact that it keeps coming up as such is nothing but people aping the original OVA instead of coming up with a better idea. The fact that it was the move that beat Geese in the OVA always felt really out of place, it'd be like if the SF2 animated movie ended with Ryu and Ken beating M.Bison by doing hundred hand slaps instead of hadouken.

It is literally states that Terry cannot be Jeff's biological son. The SNK wiki says both Terry and Andy are adopted.

as for terry we dont know for sure, but it was confirmed long ago by the creator of the series that they had a plan to make andy geese son and make the focal point around a brother gone rouge after finding out the truth. this was insinuated in the ending of the first ova and the second ova. however the idea was scapped at the last minute due to the popularity of the trio and the development of andy and mai among fans in japan. people really forget that at one time the fatal fury series was the best selling fighting game series in Japan. the story and the characters were popular as shit. snk was making butt loads of money off the franchise, however they squandered it developing too many other failed properties. its also the reason they gave us the Easter egg of evil andy in real bout special. his dialogue and move set were dark and destructive. ex andy or evil andy was such a great character we never got again.

Also, Andy has an EX version that sounds like an Evil Andy...

Fun facts: In KAISERWAVE (an official SNK Twitch Show), two things were revealed during an interview with Youichiro Soeda (an SNK staff member that worked on the Fatal Fury series): - Terry and Andy are not blood related. They only refer to each other as brothers because they grew closer to each other. - Geese was confirmed to not be either Terry or Andy's father. So right off the bat, we can deconfirm the Geese theory lol

Dang, I really like this theory. So I had to go watch the find the interview for myself. According to the interview, Soeda was an animator. He was not in charge of the lore. So he only knows as much as the fans down it comes to the story. Maybe things will come to light if there is a Garo Mark of the Wolves 2?

totally fair, that's definitely where I start tip toeing into fanfiction territory. I just think it'd be neat.

Andy being 5'7" vs Krauser 6'7" could easily be explained by nutrition. If Krauser is from a rich noble family he probably should have had a healthy surplus diet, whereas Andy being an orphan in his childhood might have truncated his growth.

I believe it is character design. They wanted to make Andy look that way because if I'm not mistook, Terry is 6'0 or 6'1. So yeah Andy's is done based on design.

I love how much thought this puts me in o.o really your KoF/FF/AoF and forgive me for missing any others ^^;, knowledge. Took me by surprise that this was an Andy focus video but not disregarding Terry, Jeff or Geese! You don’t see creativity in videos like that most days! I also had a good laugh too, wish I could say more but my mind is just blown up with new head canon thoughts x.x Love this video, I’m excited to see the next one! It's not possible for Terry and Andy to be half-brothers since they both have the same face and hair color. Good fan theory 👌 but the idea of both being Geese's sons just fits more for me narrative wise, especially with it being hard fact that Jeff adopted them both from the streets.

Now I really want this to be true because it would give a really nice story to be form around this (Like there is a gap around the “last” fatal fury and garou so maybe they could have that in that time Andy found out via something that he is actually geese’s son and terry isn’t his brother but despite learning this since he lived his whole life thinking terry is his brother he doesn’t want to go geese’s route but instead leaves and becomes the master of hokutomaru in garou)

W video topic: Bit of lore review for the notis Isn't it heavily implied that after Teaching them the Way of the Two Wolves, Jefu-Sensei' was to confront Geese himself, and perished in the fight. Terry hates Geese for the sole reason that he murdered all his parents, and Stepfather. Real dark segment; I tried encapsulating that anger in the introduction before their fight in Atrocious™.

Yep. In a nutshell. Very Star Wars-ish. They gave us enough clues without ever actually saying it. Geese was a powerful gangster, their birth mother was a beautiful but tragic white lady who died some very tragic typical poor prostitute related death. (Very similar to Geese's own mother, being a side chick to a powerful man and died a poor death.) Geese never cared to find out if he made any kids in the streets. She probably definitely didn't bother telling him. This is the art of story telling. Every one staying close and related. This is why Terry tried to stop Geese from falling. This is why Terry actually adopted his much younger brother.

This is such an amazing theory. This would make such an amazing story and would push his character to greater heights. I have always liked Andy and felt like he never reached his true potential.

I actually like Andy, people need to put respect on his name.

I feel like I've seen this exact theory before. It's a fun one, just with some logistical issues.

In my opinion for those aware of and pressed to find out the answer to this riddle any reveal will be unsatisfying and for those casuals who don’t know ALL the nuance of the lore a revelation would change what they enjoy about the lore.

There is a manga series where Terry fights a demonic brainwashed Andy Bogard. I like your theory video. I had a theory that the bogards biological dad was in the 1989 SNK fighter Street Fighter. Player 1 was a karate fighter & player 2 was a wrestler.

All three, I'd say. I believe that the EX versions of characters in the Real Bout games are tongue in cheek hints to other sides of them, like sadistic Mary or villain Andy. Even Billy being a lonely goofy fuck I can see being realistic, especially after Geese dies.

Jeff Bogard was really Marie Howard's brother and Terry and Andy's uncle. Geese is their biological father.

Souichiro Soeda (SNK artist), during a Live in 2019, received the question from the chat if Terry and Andy, even being adopted by Jeff, are blood-related brothers. Soeda-san confirmed Terry and Andy are NOT blood related.

I just realized something. Oda came back to SNK because he wants to make a new Fatal Fury game and he made KOF14 which has Jeff Bogard in one of the endings. That can't be a coincidence. Maybe we will get more of Jeff's back story in the new Fatal Fury. So maybe Andy and Terry will be more touched up in their connections to both Geese, Jeff, and Rock

The whole Andy and Terry sitation remembers me a lot to Kiryu and Nishikiyama from yakuza. Heck, it would even be a nice plot twist if andy turned into a villain because everybody keeps telling him that his brother is better, just how nishiki did (it's kind of generic, i know, and its the classic "what if we make this character important again by giving him an edgy makeover" but dreaming is free) .

This is a sound theory my friend. One i never entertained myself...

I'd always assumed that Andy was geeses Sun especially after art of fighting 2 came out and geese head the suits on. Geeses character art in kof 15 look very similar to the art of art of fighting we will figure out more to the to the story.

I am hoping that the new Fatal Fury game will touch upon Andy having some relation to Geese. Maybe Kain knows something they don't.

Terry never uses this attack in the games. Only in the Ova and kof series. I would feel more emotionally invested in the technique if it was used in fatal fury to kill geese.

Terry and Andy are not biological brothers. Jeff adopted Andy from Italy . Terry on the other hand is from America. It was confirmed in the original SNK Fatal Fury handbook

I’m two years late but, excellent video! Really hadn’t thought about a connection between Andy and Geese until now. This makes so much sense 😱 Thinking about it now, I wonder who the mother could be. If Terry and Andy have the same Mom, they could still be biological brothers. But then that would mean she had an affair with Geese or Jeff, which might add to why Geese wanted to kill Jeff. Just speculation but I wonder if she could be a new character… now I’m thinking about it too much 🤣 Here’s hoping City of the Wolves gives us some answers for the lore!

The only hint we have about their mothers are a gamest article that says that Andy's parents might be from Italy. Not confirmed though!

There are many characters in KoF and Fatal fury timeline who are much stronger than what they employ in battles. Meitenkun, Geese, Kula, Oswald, Tung, Ryo, Robert, Kyo, Leona etc etc and guess what, Andy is in there too... I know that it is confirmed that andy is not Geese's son, but Andy is technically stronger than terry but he never unlocked his hidden powers. (the dark side if you will) we can see this referenced in many games.

Also wait, why do people even think that if Jeff had to adopt them, that Geese would be their father? That'd make Geese old as dirt, especially since Rocko is 18+, and his *father is Geese.* That would spike Geese is great grandfather of SNK into stupid levels of chronological continuity. What's next? Terry Beat Geese at 15? lol

That means Rocko would have had to have been orphaned near newborn, Marie'd've had to have superpowers to disappear that fast after physical conception in the early 90's, and that a 17-18-year old Terry Bogard would have had the skill, resource, time, and finance to raise Rocko from a baby lmao

He then became the villain who invested in Grant to use force in generating his own financial profit, when it's revealed as Rocko defeats him, that he's only done everything to 1. Find Geese's son, 2. Rejoin his sister Marie 3. Stop Geese from expanding his tyranny. Kain is boss 👍
