Art journey update/ Another chatty sketch book tour and what I have been up to creatively.

Well, it's been a minute, but I am finally back with an update on my art journey and all the things I have been doing to stay creative and learn about art and myself.
So grab your favourite beverage and settle in and come along with me as I go through my sketchbooks and my procreate app to show you what I have been working on. Sorry, it's a long one but, unfortunately I am a chatty gal and felt the need to explain everything. :)
If you are new here, I'm Michelle and I am rediscovering art in my 50's and hope to one day be a self employed full time artist. I also like to share my journey in the hopes of inspiring others to do the same and realize that anything is possible. Never stop chasing your dreams!

Thankyou for sharing your sketch book journey Michelle. A place where you can be free to explore ideas and inspirations. It's great to experiment to find what you enjoy and the media that speaks to you. I too have sketchbooks of trying art techiques, effects (not finished pieces of art) but building my mark making, visual language and my own art style. I like the top left black cat with little white eyes. A simple but beautiful character you've created there 😊

The "flowery" painting a page after the sheep is very nice.

I just found your channel today, and I love your art book recommendations!! I've been feeling very inspired by my native folk art, Which is Dutch! and your abstract flowers and stuff is exactly the direction I'm taking my own art in currently 😊 and I have a recommendation for you! it's a KZreadr by the name of Janet Nash, and she does art journalling, mixed media, collage junk journalling type of stuff! and I think you would love her as well. in fact she does a live stream every Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 EST, no pressure though 😄💘 !

Glad you enjoyed the book recommendations! I will definitely check out Janet’s channel. I’m Dutch on my mother’s side so I love folk art from Scandinavia/northwestern Europe. I guess that’s why I’m drawn to it. ❤️
