Yes I agree - there is something temperature related about the bedding kinds though. If they get too warm something goes wrong. EDIT - it seems they stop flowering above 65 deg F !!

I had a great puzzle day! Wordle in 3- stock, women, video. Perfect in both strands and connections. It was good to have a great day after a few sub par days.

Good job, Andrea. I was fine in Wordle/Connections and was OK in Strands. In regards to Wordle, I had VIDEO in two tries following AUDIO, but could not get my 6 letter afternoon word being CAREER in yesterday's game. You have your good and bad experiences with these games.

Wordle in 4 STOCK OPERA MOVIE VIDEO Connections: Got everything except the time bonus. Didn't get tricked by the rhyming words. Strands: Well, they finally got me! I finally got tricked on one of these "homophones" ones. No time bonuses or spangram first. However, no hints were used either. Got the average 7/10 for this one.

why is it that when the NYT says the wordle is "very challenging" I can usually get it in 3, but when it's "easy breezy" I can't get it until 5 or 6? LOL

Don't. Do. Homophones. They invariably aren't in all accents/dialects of English, even within the same country. Until I got Rustle that made no sense to me coming from Britain. For several years I thought the robot in Real Steel was called Adam, until I saw some article about the film. I would never have thought they were saying "Atom". Google "marry-merry-Mary merger" (honestly that is what it is called) for the other reason that puzzle doesn't make sense outside some parts of America.

I agree. Even to my American ear, MARY & MERRY don't sound the same. Neither do HAIRY & HARRY.

Strands was horrible! In my accent, most of them are NOT homophones...
