There is no science without art and art without scientist... That's the balance we need to find...

Ok... First time I try to develop a more extense answer to a stranger. But I feel your doubt and important dilema. First, you can think about the origin of this feeling about the 'future', that actually is more social-constructed, this means that in many countries and cultures, many people transmit that art is just inspiration-talent thing and is undervalued on the perspective of economical- value. On the other hand, science is treated as geek stuff, complex and just for geniuses and non-social people. When you leave this ideas behind, then congratulations, first bareer is passed. Then you start thinking about time, "what am I going to focus my time into?", well this is where discipline and self-organizing skills take into place, and it may appear difficult but does not mean impossible, you will start trying to figure out how you can invest time on both, studing art and science subjects. You can try to develop some research and you will start finding artists, scientists, authors, and many admirable human beings that have experienced the approach of both art & science, and you will start feeling inspired and identified to them (you can read some Stephen Hawking, Siri Hustvedt, Susan Sontag, Damasio, Nietzsche, just to mention some). Once you have "calibrated" your interests, look for some programs that can make you feel close to both of your interests, i.e. Biotechnology oriented to medical development, Biotechnology, 3D and digital arts, Medical Illustration, there are some programs that may lead you to stay close to what you like. Remember, college is just a path that leads you to "poolish" your own way, you can always search for art courses, events, people whom feed your personal growth... the most important thing is that you enjoy the journey and I'm sure you'll find how to apply your interests for ART & SCIENCE. Never regret whatever decision you make on choosing a career, and try to keep in mind, what do you enjoy the most?, doing, reading, what does fulfill your life the most? Wish you the best : ). As personal experience I studied Digital arts at 18 and now Biotechnology, I have worked as graphic designer and enjoy spending time doing artworks and reading phlosophy and essays. Life can be tough but is worth to keep trying, learning and living. (btw sorry if there are mistakes in this text, Enlgish is not my mother language).

SAME. I get frustrated because I’m in high school too and they’re trying to push you to know what you want to do so you can start a career path to end up for the majority of your life chasing a basic job. Yet I get exactly what your saying!!!!! I want to do both and I can’t choose. It hurts.

I don't think people born in my time or later wonder about art vs science ............. even if it is a synthetic one( not necessarily) there are lots like me who don't have these questions by default . As intelligent it sounds , I knew about all these feelings when I was young ......... Science and Art in their subjective senses have moved on . It's a pretty "missing" video. I liked it nonetheles, weight of "Social science" , which is the most prevalent and non required kind of phenomenon, yeah like whatever !!

Not sure why he blamed Aristotle for the separation cause as much as I know the Greek philosophers successfully used both arts and science for advance & modern civilisation based on knowledge is indebt of them for that.
