When in 2022, my friend who is a Arsenal fan said if they win against all opponents but lose two matches to Man City, they can still win the league. But I said, in your dream. At that time, he was very arrogant but now I can't even say anything to appease him he is so sad now.

I was looking at the April fixtures from last year and we lost the first 3 games against C. Palace, Brighton, and Southampton, albeit we won the next 4 but it seems that April is our limit. For all the good and consistent play they had all season to jus throw it away within 4 matches is unacceptable and it was their own faults. Need to pick it up because Newcastle away could be like that 6-1 smashing vs Spurs

Arsenal hasn’t stopped dropping points yet… they will definitely drop points with Newcastle and with Brighton…. Those two matches will be hard for Arsenal. To me even tho City has more matches left to play I strongly feel Arsenal has a tougher schedule than City. Arsenal will definitely drop more points. Also Ramsdale they gave him 6 points score and to me Ramsdale was the one that prevented City from winning 8-1… Ramsdale was the MVP for Arsenal hands down, he should’ve got a score of 8 or 9.

If they had not dropped the six points in the 3 consecutive draws, they can well afford to lose to Manchester City. The moment they lost William Saliba, the title challenge was practically over. He is not only an excellent centre back but an integral part of the silky football they play. Despite the loss of Gabriel Jesus after the world cup, we managed to cope well. This is because Eddie Nketiah is not a big drop off in quality compared to Gabriel Jesus. The addition of Leandro Trossard in the January window did somewhat help our course as well. However, Rob Holding is a big drop off in quality. Just like Lokonga for Thomas Partey earlier in the season. We lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford due to that.

I am not sure why Holding is being scapegoated. I thought as a backup CB he is doing ok. Vs Liverpool it was a lucky deflection and a piece of skill by Salah. Vs West Ham Partey gave the ball away cheaply. Vs Southampton it was Ramsdale who gifted the ball away. Even if Saliba is playing if you give the ball like this to opponent Arsenal would still drop points.

I think we all need to calm with any sensationalist take. 1) City are extraordinary and can afford to play with 16-18 proper first 11 players. What I mean is they don’t have a best 11. I can’t think of another team in world football that has that. That enables them to rotate their squad and the way they have done that has been exemplary. A lesson for us all in squad management. 2) We are not there yet and 85 points or so is a true reflection of where we are. We will drop more points in the next 5 games, and that’s fine. 3) To get to 95 points from 85 we need more world class depth. We will do that in the summer 4) The way Guardiola has integrated Haaland has been phenomenal. He’s really improved his build up play, credit to him. We need a big number 9 - as much as I love Jesus the City game has shown we need a bigger presence up there.

Arsenal lost the league when Xaka annoyed the Liverpool fans, that fight back from Liverpool showed all the other teams that Arsenal were nervous. Any team in the PL can beat any other team in the PL on a good day and what Arsenal did at Liverpool showed West Ham and Southampton that they might as well set up to attack Arsenal. I can't blame Xaka for coming second because I want to see some aggression but I think the Arsenal squad will learn to be a little more savy next season. Arsenal are a young side with a bright future and should be better next season but Liverpool, Man Utd, Tottenham and Chelsea won't be so far out of the running by then. It's been a great season for Arsenal, they had it all in their hands until they drew with Liverpool and should have dealt with that game better but they will come second to a team that arguably are the best team in the world at this time.

These are both top flight managers/coaches, the student started off on fire and maintained that edge for more than 7 months, but the master never let things get too far behind and when the student stumbled the master was their to pounce. There maybe managers better at one part of the game or another, but no one in the world knows how to manage and motivate big money talent better than Pep. At this level you are going to have coaches for many of the various disciplines so it doesn't all rest on one pair of shoulders. Also at this level, where many teams are forking over big money for talent and with many teams quite nicely stocked, the manager that is able to manage that high value talent, to manage and to motivate. The closest analogy I can think of for an American audience is Joe Torre of the NY Yankees -- they Yankees have generally been among the best talent wise pretty much forever and they've won the Baseball World Series 27 times in something over 100 years, but they haven't always been at the top. The NYY were mired in turmoil for years under Billy Martin and even though they had the best talent you could buy, they were only slightly better than middle of the pack. The Yankees finally replaced Martin with Joe Torre and with the same talent he turned the Yankees into a near dynasty because he was able to manage big money talent better than anyone at that time. In the EPL we've had teams rise from middle of the table to raising the trophy in a single year, but we've also had teams that were once dominant drop like a stone. For me, no one in Football is better at managing his players and getting them to buy in. I think he manages the press pretty spot on to.

Arsenal haven’t competed for a title in 20 years , City have won what 5 of the last 6 ? I’m a realistic arsenal fan I’ve enjoyed the journey this season and proud of the lads but we are so far off challenging Man City it’s not even funny . It was down to Arteta's tactical inflexibility on over reliance on tired/underperforming players (when the game could have been managed better) that cost him the 3 points. Lo and behold , he used the same tactics against West Ham and Southampton! Is Hislop gonna blame Xhaka for those losses too? C'mon....

Mikel has bottled this league.i predicted the 4-1, the city strategy to wait for mistakes, the order of the goals (our 1 goal and haaland last goal) and how we would play only last minutes. Just like I know it will likely be 5-2 at St james park. It all started at Annfield that's where I gave up. And Craig is right. This had all been about mentality. Very good coach but terrible at reading games , man management and game management and you can't teach that cos you are not learning anything so far so it's time to leave the club. He has done a great job but it will take someone's else to take arsenal to the next level.
