The reporter is even quite pro Liverpool. He has a program with Jan Molby. I would even argue that it is quite a soft ball question that would allow Klopp to just say yeah we lost a little right at the end due to all our games and thus play his usual little violin

Fantastic stuff, guys. I guess I am leaning more towards Alex's prediction. I really don't think this side is final iteration. The squad still needs to be bigger (I have HUGE hopes that Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelley and Cozier-Duberry will be a part of that process) and we have yet to see how Timber was going to fit into this, and I expect us to get a striker and midfielder this summer. THEN Arteta will have the squad he's hoping for. This is all learning. I think we beat Bayern. I think the volume of matches gets us in the end. But getting to the semis of the CL pretty much covers your summer spending. Things look outrageously positive for the club. Next year is the year I say, "we now need trophies".

I think for the Arsenal vs Bayern games. Due to our lack of UCL experience, with this group of players. I think we need to play our usual way of playing. Reason being, i think our players got very caught up in the occasion againest Porto. I think this was due to the Stop/Start aspect to that game and how much Porto slowed everything down, which fustrated us and i think it gave our least experienced players time to think too much. If we play our fast, fluid type football, i feel our players will get more in to our 'mode' and be more focused on the game, rather than the occasion itself. Either way, im looking forward to a good quarter final clash!

One of the oldest cliches in sports is to attack their weakness and suppress their strength. If we're being honest Arsenal have many strengths and few weaknesses. One key issue is shot conversion in the box. If you have 25 shots on goal and only score 1 in 4 that's not an issue. If however we're restricted to 10 shots on goal that becomes a major issue. Tuchel is a pragmatic manager he will see that Porto game as the blueprint to beating Arsenal. If we play within ourselves allow them to dictate the game and adopt a more counter attacking style we will lose.

Hang on. The bit about Klopp and emotional maturity. Vs Wenger. I was born in 87. The first season I really remember was the 92/93 douple Cup win. The first European final I saw in real time was Smudger in Copenhagen in 94. To say that Wenger always held himself with Grace is an absolute PISS TAKE. I'm sorry. I was AKB til nearly the end. I love that man for what he did for this club and respect him for what he did for Football as a whole. Those first 8 years of his reign were something I never thought I would see again, until Teta now. But you can not tell me that he ALWAYS conducted himself with grace. He was a professional man, who conducted himself with grace and humility. Until he didn't. Which was often. And what Klopp has done during his time at Liverpool isn't far removed from Wenger during his time at Arsenal. These guys are human. Some of it is emotion. Some of it is mind games. Some of it is sheer annoyance and frustration that their well worked plans went to shit on the day. And when that happened, Wenger was as petulant as they come. He's human, he's fallible. But he's still a legend. Let's not forget the first two points whilst remembering the third. Edit for spelling

The problem with your analogy is that Wenger still HAD grace in his worst defeats. There are levels to being a sore loser. Complaining about grass not being cut at right length and insulting someone's intelligence/profession/weight are two completely different things. Also, when you say that Wenger didn't hold himself with Grace, who are you comparing him with?

Weorge at it again. I haven’t seen THAT much of Bayern but I don’t see them as a purely transitional team not even on away days, also there are times to stick to our guns and home game at the UCL QF feels like one of those times

As hard as the run in is, besides Man City we are a level above all of the teams we're facing and so I really fancy our chances. My real prediction is that Spurs will lose all 3 of their games against Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal and will have absolutely no say in the title race.

My head is saying we will finish 3rd 5 points behind City and lose 3 1 on aggregate to Bayern.Hart is saying we are winning the league on goal difference and lose to City by one goal in the semis

😅 I agree George has got it all set up wrong. Probably got all excited at getting a new mic plugged it straight in and went to work. I think it should be more upright but I think he might be better of speaking into the other side of it but more importantly he should switch it to the cardioid mode (upside down heart) to limit sound from other parts of the room, like sound reflections computer noises ect. But if he had it on cardioid setting and spoke into it from the wrong side it wouldn’t pick up anything, as cardioid mode only picks up sounds from what’s directly in front of the mic.

He's probably got it in cardioid and he's just speaking into the side and therefore it loses all the bass and sounds really tinny

Didn't Alonso and Arteta grow up together? All this speculation of how the match is going to go and the most obvious point is missed. Arteta will just get the low down from Alonso and set up perfectly

When anyone mentions the Wenger Fergie era, its mostly from 1996-2004 when MU and Arsenal were 1-2 positions interchangeably for most of that time. That's the rivalry era. The rivalry died in 2004 when Chelsea suddenly came in, outspent everybody, and replaced Arsenal as the top 2 teams in the PL while Arsene Wenger was saddled with Emirates finances thereafter.
